Is it out of the question? We got 100k SP when they migrated the server and in doing so they shoved a fork in there own eye by allowing it be known that they can do these types of things.
Todays unexpected DT because another DB issue is beyond a joke. Read the forums and feel the rage!
Can CCP not somehow no matter how costly [ multi million of euro per month income ] fix this problem. Throwing new content onto a fail system is only going to become worse yet CCP do not seem to see this problem.
You @ CCP are letting your customer base down on a weekly basis thesedays. A Normal company would be liquidated and collapse if such failures took place. Or at the very least the people in charge of he DB will be fired.
The upset of todays DT was unprecedented.
It would look VERY good of you right now to give the entire customer base a token of actual appreciation by giving us all a gift on tomorrows standard downtime. |

They can't give us 100k SP every time the server goes down, the 100mill SP club would get very crowded very quickly |

It's a good fast way to placate the crowd, but we're just going to want more and more.
The first time CCP did it was probably more of a live test for the SP delivery system than a genuine desire to compensate their playerbase for CCP's ****ty service.
It probably won't end well if CCP starts giving out SP every time the servers down, not that I would mind :D |

There is not a good enough reason for this in my opinion. Databases as scary.. stuff happens. Now let's go play :-) |

You used the word unprecedented completely out of context. Troll better next time. |

I don't agree with the idea of giving us compensation for server dt like this, even though it is really annoying and indicative of some of the problems CCP are having.
How would extra SP or some pointless toy solve the database issues? I'd rather have CCP trying to fix the issues*.

When the server was down for 2 days it was warranted. Giving compensation every time the server goes down for an hour or 2 will never happen, nor should it. |

how about if we get a free dev team to work on OUR issues instead? And since we have PREMIUM memberships unlike those Dust players, how about they focus on OUR problems and our game and work on Dust in their spare time? Much better deal.
think i will go buy $1000 in GTCS now turn them in to plexes at Jita and then haul them out to 0.0 in an ibis on autopilot. |

How about you stop whining like a tantrum throwing five year old and realise that one of the things games companies do is make games!! CCP have never said that EVE was the only thing they would ever work on or that eve would always have priority over other projects. |

They could give us a nice SP present just because we're such nice customers, though. I'd rather have SP than ships. |
