Hey, probably a bit late and I will send an ingame mail to you as well, but following 2 Sound items are outdated :

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Sound_engine_woes_%28CSM%29

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Sound_Issues_%28CSM%29

Most of the bugs have been fixed, I haven't had any sound bugs since last patch.

The only big item that is left is the tweaking of the positional sound and the weight that explosions have.

Like when one destroys a building with artillery they get a screen filled with explosion graphic effects, but no explosion sound effect because the explosion is too far away.

I have updated the wiki page with the final results.

It gives details on the filtering process that CSM used to winnow down the list.

Enjoy!

Oh, based on a player suggestion I updated the page so it has a list of the raw, unfiltered results. #1 was, as you might expect, "Commit to Excellence"

BTW, any indication of which topics were taken off the table by CCP and which ones were just not very high at the top of any CSM's wishlist?

I'm particularly interested in the following:

Commit to Fixing the UI
What ever happened to the industry expansion?
Modular Starbase/POS dead horse fixes

I assume these were all nixed by CCP. C/D?

Nothing was directly taken off the table by CCP at this point.

Some items were determined to have already been rejected or implemented (in other words, the Wiki was not updated). I have just now fixed those, as it happens.

Some items were removed because they were not relevant to the scope of the planning meetings (ie: Commit to Excellence), typically because they were general prescriptions.

All of the remaining items that received support from at least one CSM made the final list.

I updated the wiki page a day or two ago with more details of the process.

It's a two-day meeting. We haven't gotten any info that we can talk about yet. Please be patient.

I will remain patient.

Has there been any word from the planning meeting yet?

We expect to get some information soon, but it may be a little while before we can say anything. Keep in mind that CCP traditionally has been very reticent to talk about a particular item until they are sure that they can deliver the goods.

While we understand their caution, we hope that increased communication between CCP and CSM, and between CCP and the players, will foster an environment where CCP can be more forthcoming at an earlier stage, and where the players are more accepting of the fact that sometimes stuff has to go on the back-burner when the fecal matter hits the rotary impeller.

I didn't really expect a detailed roadmap to the next release at this point.

Something like "Meeting's over, all big questions were addressed. We will sort out the details, wrap it up nicely and get back to you in 2 weeks" would have been awesome.
Especially since that is something you can plan with. "Soon" is really next to worthless when you hear it from CCP as it can mean anything from 2 hours to 8 months.

They tend to sit in their offices, silently thinking about the perfect solution and then it takes several kicks to make them realize a couple weeks have passed without them saying a word about what's going on.
So it was kinda naive to hope there would be a timely update on the progress about this "urgent" player input.

At work I cannot always explain every little detail and sometimes I don't even have all the information myself.
But I can always give a summary about what happened and whether I think we're making progress or we're falling behind schedule.
It appears the second category is completely unknown to CCP.

Is it still too early to say which items will receive some attention?

This year will end in 17 weeks and over 2 weeks have passed since the planning meeting. Are they still trying to find out which items will be ignored and which will be scheduled for implementation?

The CSM is currently preparing a report on the results of the planning meeting. It is unfortunately taking longer than I had hoped. Stay tuned!

Holy crap! I was reading the final results, and the bits of explanation about the process.

So you have people vote. Then you rearrange the results and bump your own favorites up the list a few positions?

Just like real life politicans! Quit serving your own interests, and start playing fairly. Or is that too much to ask?

Perhaps I missed it even though I read over it several times, but I didn't see a single number referring to a hybrid fix :(

Keep in mind that the CSM is a representative body, not a blind conduit for direct democracy. As such, several CSMs felt that an extra step was needed to insert CSM input into the prioritization process. You will note that I made sure that the results before and after the CSM input were made public, to ensure transparency.

As this was the first time we had done crowdsourcing, we were experimenting with the process. In the second crowdsourcing (UI Low Hanging Fruit, just passed) we used a different method; we just subdivided the list based on how many CSMs +1'd each idea, but within each sublist the items are in player priority.

Also, remember that CSM often has extra NDA-sealed information about certain issues that factor into our decisions.

This backlog prioritization only covered items that had previously been passed by CSM. I am sure a good proposal about fixing hybrids (more than "fix hybrids!") would be an interesting one (If I've missed one, please point me to it).

The CSM is also currently in the early stages of developing an action-list of game balance issues; more on that will be made public sometime soon, I hope.
