What the hell do you expect from a 2000 people fight?
Come on! In 'that' game it lag when there is 120 people in the zone.
2000 people is bloody amazing!

HAHA what 2000, nodes long crashed before you get 2000.
What's the point of blowing up ships if they respawn next DT?
What's the point of trying to play if you get one shot off ever 1hour? (I guess it makes arty good... haha)
No one is b¡tching about lag, everyone is on about the sheer amount at LOW numbers, try 200 or 2 lol not 2000. |

your new here huh? pre dominion people could bring 1000v1000 and the lag was manageable, now the 10v10 lags like all hell and you end up black screening. |

…that would be all good and well if it weren't for the fact that EVE's been capable of more in the past and that we have an exact date for when everything turned to crap.
It's not about expecting too much from a 2000-player fight — it's about expecting that the performance of the game will not decrease by the "improvements" made by CCP. |

pre dominion people could bring 1000v1000 and the lag was manageable, now the 10v10 lags like all hell and you end up black screening.
Come to low sec, we hardly ever have more than 50vs50 and we're lag free. |

There in lies the rub, and the reason why the OP is out of touch with Eve. It is not unreasonable to expect/want/demand for the server to be able to perform as well as it has in the past. |

While I know this is waste of time and OP is just trolling... I still cant resist.
EVE always had lag, and people always complained about lag. Now with that being said...
When CCP introduced Stackless Pythons (was it Rev 2.0?) and some other improvements, and after initial couple of months of fixing crippling bugs such major code changes caused, there was a time where you could get 1000 people actually fighting on a reinforced node, and it was workable till it went over 1300-1400. Unreinforced nodes still had problems with couple hundred in system but it was a hit and miss affair.
And then Dominion came, and overall 0.0 performance went down the crapper. Suddenly massive drop in performance in large fights, blackscreens and desyincs all over the place. Some of most terrible issues that were occurring regardless of node utilization were fixed a little bit around time of infamous "we are aware of problem" devblog, but performance under load remained catastrophic, much worse then pre Dominion and much worse than EVE has been in years. |
