Ok I say instead of moving mining to only lowsec or null I say we create a complex but easily doable mini game when u mine in hisec only. The idea is when u start the lasers the game pops up, you do it once then another, randomly generated different minigame pops up at random intervals , if you fail, which should be really hard to do, your laser shuts off. I also like the idea of concord patrols coming in and saying " repeat this code" (random code) 2 minutes of no response or wrong answers , a 30 second window pops up with another code " repeat code or be subject to immidiate ship destruction" timer counts down, no response or wrong answers, boom. This should eliminate macros and ore prices should go back up. Tell me what u think and have fun not using macros Very Happy

Because no one goes AFK when they mine...

1: I'm not saying the game pops up every 5 minutes. It goes on like every half hour/45mins you have had lasers on. So you prove your not a macro miner, start mining, then prove you didn't just do the game then engage the bot every hour. Painless and easy, do you log on,then engage some roids then leave for an hour? If you do, is it really that hard to check back every half hour or so?

As for the patrols: the patrols go about once every 5 or six hours, and maybe have the original time for response go to 10 minutes, you shouldn't afk mine anyway (can flippers) .

Old idea, and still a bad one, it will just **** off real miners.
There are bot programs that can recognise the images and enter them, you'll just force the macro miners to take it to another level.

As Borg Stoneson said this will impact real miners more then macro's. Also this idea has been suggested multiple times before (about one a month).

It will not impact on macro's as one or two things happens
1) The programs the isk farms use are updated to solve the game
2) The person overseeing the 25+ counts will deal with it instead.

I figured this idea would be shot down :) now that the original ideas gone, how DO u get rid of them, they are ruining the mining industry.

Well, eve style would be: you blow them up.
There can be collateral damage that you hit a non macro miner from time to time. but well.
destruction is driving the industry. ;)

Well heres a half baked idea that can be shot down too: only let people mine in war-deccable corps (and fix corp hopping).

Or suicide them.

If I wanted to play Runescape and surround myself by a community of ^_____^ SUPA SUPA KWAII DESU~~~, brain-dead, may-as-well-have-their-consciousness-rotting-from-their-bones, fourteen and thirteen year old pieces of putrid ***** then I'd get a pedophile by my side and tell him to get ready for the most mind blowing experience of his life.

Your idea makes me both sad and mad at the same time.

If you think you found a macro and dont want to tarnish your sec status just push him away from the belt. this will mess with the less complex ones. if the pilot gets on and screams at you...Thats the code.

have the game pop up "Enter these letters" windows every few minutes, then if you fail to do so, your mining lasers shut off, you warp to a new location and cloak, then log off.

seriously, if they wanted to fix it as a high priority they could.

I don't think you read this thread thoroughly enough or have a notion as to how advance bots actually are.

OP, Koyama here. Just came to inform you that you spelled "The same" incorrectly, you wrote it as "Another".

Oh flying spaghetti monster how you test me.

Can we make everyone deal with ******ed popups to continue playing the game? You know if you are in a mission a popup shows up not letting you do anything unless you hit the correct sequence of keys, or you are in a station changing market order BAM popup stops you cold. Composing a corporate email, SHAZAM popup in your face. Anchoring a POS BAMWOOZLE popup all up in your grill.

The possibilities are endless.
