Hey this isnt an urgent question or anything, just something i was curious about. If you put 5 estamel modified invuln fields and a large shield booster on a drake, would it theoreticaly be invincible damage wise? Of course an energy neut could stop it eventually, but if you took cap drain out of the question, would anything be able to do enough damage to destroy it? obviously with the cost of the mods and difficulty in even finding 5 of them, no one in their right minds would put them on a ship like a drake, but if someone did, would it be invincible damage wise? just wondering.

"Invincible" in what context? "Invincible" against a T1(?)/T2(?)/Faction(?)/Deadspace(?) fitted battlecruiser? What about battleships? How many people will it be facing?

Otherwise the answer is simply no. Nothing in EvE is "invincible."

Only 80-90k EHP? a dozen Tempests will do (approximately)..

Because of the way damage resistance works, and the stacking penalty, You wouldn't get high enough resists to approach invincible. Checking EFT, with 5 Estamel's Invuls, DC2, Estemal's Large booster, and 3 Extender rigs, you get an average of about 92% resists which translates into 181k EHP. None too shabby, but hardly invincible, when you look at other BC fits with similar EFT, and T3 fits with... well, a lot more. Oh, and a single nueting enemy and you're dead. You have 70 seconds of cap running the tank alone.

tl;dr

because of stacking penalty its impossible to get 100% resists

extra note: i once corrupted the unziping of EFT and it ended up giving me several 1000% on somethings and by EFT's math id be doing dmg to myself with a armor repper lol

Yeah, even with 5 estamels, the EM resist on a drake is going to peak at under 90%.

And a nighthawk could have more EHP with a simple double extender setup.

That being said, it would burst tank around 1100 dps with an estamel's large shield booster.
But a Nighthawk with racial specific hardeners can do that with a passive tank.

Try a Minmatar t2 cruiser, they have far better - if not the best - omni shield resists in the game.

That said, no you can't be invulnerable. Even with very high resists you still get damage and you're still dependent on cap to repair it if incoming damage is more than your shields recharge rate - and cap can run out and be drained. There's always ships or a combination of ships that will break your tank.

I can get about 5k tank (omni), or 6.8k vs angel from an officer fitted rattlesnake. But even that is not invincible, a group of well fitted battleships could take you down.

The only ship coming even remotely close to invincibility (not quite theoretically invincible, but for practical intents and purposes as good as invincible) is a Polaris Legatus Frigate...
...which only official CCP characters should ever be able to fly.
