Hello everyone,
I have been away from eve for a few years, and I got a few questions. I can't remember the name of the app I use to use, but it allowed you to search for agents and it would tell you what part of space they were in. It was a wonderful app to use to help find agents when in search of pve missions.

My question is, does this app still exist? If so, anyone know where I can find it?

Has eve changed all that much? Anything new that stands out that I should be aware of? Am not looking for a complete history of the past couple of years, just the important things that make a big different.

Hmm, new things; it depends what your focus is at what will be the big things. Planetary interaction gives you new industrial things to do, wormhole space doubles up the map, the mechanics of sovereignty in 0.0 entirely changed, the way probes work has entirely changed, T2 manufacturing ditto, the market in general will be vastly different...

It would help if we knew what you did.

Another old player giving it a try here.

I can't speak for the OP but could you give some more info about how 0.0 sectors changed and what is this planetary interaction?

I stopped playing around the time Titan's were being developed and my old computer just couldn't handle the game any more on my main character flying a huge ship. I had to create another character in a starter ship just to talk to support.

I'm guessing ALOT has changed and Titan's are a common sight now?

Still downloading the game because I couldn't find a update from the 934 build from my DVD Confused

Soverinty is no longer gained/lost through how many POSes you build/destroy. There are sovereigty control units placed at a POS that hold sovereigenty. You have to pay rent on the system, and the more upgraded it is, the more the rent is.

Upgraded systems spawn more rats, plexes, belts, etc.

As a result, the hard cap on ABCs has been lifted and the price of those has dropped. (But the bigger change is the lowering of insurance payout).

Plaentary Interaction: Learn a few easy skills. Buy a command center from NPC on market and place it on a planet. On that planet, you place extractors, space port, basic processors, advanced processors. Every day (or every 5 hours or every 30 min) you go back to the planet screen (can be done remotely) and restart all of the extractors. BORING!!!!! Then, every so often, you go to the solar system, export your goods, and pick them up from the planets custom's office.

Stuff you make is POS fuels (Oxygen, Enriched Urnaium, Mechanical parts, robotics), nanite repair paste, and items used to manufacture POS structures (towers, hardeners assembly arraies, etc, etc, )

Still relatively rare.

Ah thank you for the quick and insightfull response. I should do "some" reading if I do decide to come back. When I quit there weren't any Player Operated Structures in game yet and mining the ABC's was what I remember doing most of the time, except when the corporation I was in needed other ores for manufacturing. I wonder if my Battleship will still be there after 7 years Neutral

Ok so I just managed to log back in and found 4 ships waiting for me along with about 63 million ISK. People were telling me to get a mining barge so I think I'll pick me up one of those when I get the hang of the controls tomorrow.
