Is anyone but me getting just sick and tired of years old bugs being completely ignored by CCP while they spend their time trying to push cross platform FPS shooters and a dress-up-barbie expansion?

What's bug annoys you the most and how long has it been in game without any addressing from the dev team?

For me, it's the dock bug. Where you warp to a station and hit dock a bazzillion times and nothing happens until the bazzillionyfirst time you hit the button. This never happened before trinity and then something broke, which they won't even acknowledge is broken, much less fix it.

If you notice, it makes you wait until you are 0 meters from the station. I hate this too.

Maybe at the time you're not in the docking ring, and also docking has a queue for a session change (per se) as you disappear from grid.

Working as intended.

No.

Or, well… not for those reasons at least.
Cross platform FPS → different market.
Dress-up-Barbie → WoD tech demo.

It only means that CCP tries to invest and diversify itself and not bet the entire farm on a single game.

for me it's got to be the constant crashes - at least for the last 4 years anyway. Same problem I've seen with many games though - they'd rather keep throwing now content at ppl than actually fix ongoing issues. But I guess 4 years isn't long in Eve time :S

Might want to check your rig. Last time EVE crashed on me was back when Quantum Rise was released. The next patch fixed that problem and I haven't crashed out since. Unless I was running 3 or 4 other programs and multiple clients at the same time.

The camera being zoomed all the way inside your ship or the station upon undocking most times. Forcing you to zoom out and spin the camera around in order to orient yourself and see what the hell is going on around you.

Not only is it annoying, but the inside of graphic models looks like crap.

Bug = gang smack talk session change

Frustration = unresponsive controls

Annoyance = channels being only partially configurable

Strange = overview's behavior when 200 enemy support warp on grid along side 200 enemy caps vs 9 people in a pos

Dumb = clunky different usage of guns on pos.

Confusing = blue on black spheres with shadows when probing

None of the above insurmountable compared to crazy nap lists.

Bore the crap out of pvp. Lagging yourself, people not even part of the fight and opposition to the point they log and curse at CCP fir the next 2 hours while we play another game.

Wow. Only one moron mentioned lag. That's impressive. Participate in mass testing and you'd see that a LOT of work is being done to fix lag.

Sick and tired of the unending stream of "No expansions! Fix bugs!" threads. Is that close enough?

Hmm. I haven't had a crash (not counting socket closed stuff) since Empyrean Age, crashed twice from release until the first patch. Prior to that, I had a stretch where there were a lot of crashes, but it turned out to be my video card (hint hint).

I have found that if a station is not responding to my dock request, clicking "approach" and waiting a second, then re-clicking "dock" works better than spamming the dock request. Try it out.

Yes, but by the time you get pulled into the station, you are at exactly 0 meters most of the time.

yeah, right. And it's not the first time I've heard that.

Game is broken at if you try something like a large fleet fight, for instance 10vs10. The game is aimed at making people bring more bodies to every fight just to make sure they win. Problem is that the game can't cope with it. I see alot of old timers leaving the game because of this and I my own will to log in is declining.

I also hate the bug where I need to type random keys to enter eve world. thats about 5 to 20 seconds where my consciousness exists in a world know nothing about. Also on the same note of *When bugs that mess up eve* walking to a food box/crap tube is over rated Shocked

Not as sick and tired as I'm getting of people complaining about how CCP invests its revenue as if they're entitled to a say.

When you land on grid, wait until your ship decelerates to about 30% of base velocity and try hitting the dock button then and only then, for a majority of problem stations I have encountered, this works a good deal of the time, there are only a few stations I have come across that require you to zip in and almost bump the collidable wall before it will allow you to dock. Of course this all depends on what angle and trajectory you warp in on the station itself to begin with, so if you are having problems docking at a particular station that you use often, try warping from a different object in the system until you find one that lands you at docking range 9 out of 10 times.

I've not had the Failed To Dock Bug since uninstalling eve for two years.
You probably don't want to read CCP's public attitude to fixing long standing issues.

Nice, I see someone linked that unofficial CSM reports.
You heard it right there folks, CCP has admitted that due to most developers and resources being dedicated to Incarna and Dust, they are not in position to fix any major issues with EVE.

Of course, when CSM Minutes go out we will all hear how the meetings went all nice and shiny and everything will be fixed "soon(tm)" and godforbid CCP would dedicate people to Incarna and Dust if it would take away resources from EVE.

from 2004 I managed to pile a lot of hate:

-overpaying eve dvd (no free client at first) which I could then throw in trash
-no skill points and no boosts at start and finding out that at some time, people got 1 mil sp and now they have 100% boost at start
-being promised walk in the station and not delivering (emo rage quit in 2005 utill it would get into the game, tempted back by constant mails from ccp, and am now laughing at soonTM about it)
-auto billing on credit card or paying to switch the payment type
-lag since 2004
-same bugs, same stupid way how some ships turn for 180 degrees
-nerfs
-wormholes don't really look like wormholes, do they? more like some twisted anomaly in space. Just make a BLACK hole lol Rolling Eyes
-god damn bloody docking manager, to which I don't trust till this day and forced me to wait and see if the ship will dock or not, instead of using that time to take a ****.
-dumb rats
-freaking timers on gates, when more people jump... I can swallow one gate, but 10-15 gates and timer on every one of them forces me to curse a lot
-ignored petitions, loosing ships on lag, desync, black screens. I don't care what the f*ck is official policy about it, but trying to survive in 200-200 can be hard, avoiding all the bubbles in the bubble fest isn't easy in bs, but with a 10-20 second lag or desync, black screen, crash, to finish you off it adds a feeling: if people can't kill you, ccp will finish you off if you like it or not Wink

but...all in all... it's a nice game. I give ccp a pass for all of this and am not annoyed too much at all, since I'm not paying for the game for 2+ years. I treat it more like a free to play thingy and as such: it's great.

am not paying a cent for it till lag is fixed ... besides those big battles, what am I left with? ugh
don't throw industry under my feet Very Happy. But either way, if they fix it or not, it's fine by me and I don't really care about tehnical or lack of stuff issues. If I buy a Sony mp3 player and it doesn't work as it should, or I feel screwed, promised something that does not work as they wrote, I don't care about Sony's excuses. I'll just trash it and switch the brand.

The Overview bug.... it's been around since before RMR and it's completely irritating. It's gotten even worse with every expansion and it seems they just don't effing care. Combined with fleet lag, and refresh issues when in a fleet, it makes for interesting artifacts on the overview...

Flashing wartarget gates and cargo containers, people who aren't wartargets flashing as if they are, people in the overview that are 20 systems away...

Funny how people have been complaining about this forever, and nothing ever gets done about it. They even joked about it with Tyrannis because they made the overview refresh slower when in fleet (GREAT JOB A++ GOOD THINKING THERE). It's to the point where I'm pretty sure they're just too incompetent to fix it. Rolling Eyes

I bug reported it ages ago. Still isn't fixed mind. I suppose they don't truly fix it is that it is just annoying and as long as you pay attention when docking you can dock.
