Several hours of meditation a day for the past week has led me to the true core of my problem: I haven't been writing short stories lately. But wait, Boris, what do you mean?I mean that in order to calm my mind and focus my chi I must once again create works of fiction. However, I want to work on topics that are not entirely my own. This is why I am offering to you, my fellow EVE players, a new entertainment service. THE BORIS STORY FACTORYThe rules are simple and the rate is affordable. For 50million ISK you will receive the following: 750 word short story. Your choice of style. Your choice of genre. Your choice of characters and other "personalized" details. Your choice of perspective. As an alternative to a fictitious tale of random inputs I am also available to write things like Character bios, Corp descriptions, war histories, embellished battle reports, or anything else you or your corp may need. The possibilities are limitless. In fact, I am even willing to write poetry as well, should the buyer be interested. I give no discount for bulk rates (that is to say, if you wanted a 1500 word story it will cost 100 million ISK). The only thing to note is that I will be writing these stories while at work so please bear with me if a queue forms and allow me some time to complete them (especially if the particular story in line is a hefty one). Please ask any and all questions you have. This is my first attempt at selling my creative abilities. I am willing to work out payment details in a way that is fair to the buyer as I realize I'm an unknown around these parts and trust is always an issue in EVE. Boris - may I make a suggestion? You might consider offering to also write histories for a corp or alliance, with input from the character-players. You could also, of course, offer to write the backstory for a character, if someone wants one for their character or alt but doesn't like to write, doesn't have time to write, etc. All you;d need from them is some of the basics they want incorporated into the character history, etc. Also, you could offer to write, for a fee, the war history for a wardec, etc. Maybe a corp of alliance would want that for their group's historical record.

That's a fantastic idea and something I'd be more than willing to do. The current 'build your own sundae' guidelines I have in my first post sort of cover that type of thing, but I guess since it isn't explicit it'll fall through the cracks as a viable idea. I'll update with your suggestion. Thank you. |

Current queue has four people. I'll be taking care of these jobs on a first come first serve basis. I'm hesitant to put buyer names up here for "EVE is serious" reasons.
With the buyer's permission I'll be posting my work upon completion.
Expect updates every day or two during the week.
And by the way, EVEGate rocks for being able to read my in game mail while I'm at work. |

I get the same issue with your most recent EVEmail to me (which, of all my mails, is the only one suffering from this). Odd indeed, but we'll work out the details in time. Cheers. |
