Hello fellow P.I. pioneers,

What will the prices be for water in the future?

An extractor costs 45,000 ISK and produces about 45,000 units of Aqueous Liquids when used on a temperate planet in a 0.8 system. This sets the price for one unit on such a planet to 1 ISK. Processed into water at a fixed ratio of 1:150 does it result in a price of 150 ISK for one unit of water.

This is considerably higher than what the current NPC traders in high-sec demand.

There will be systems with planets in low-sec and 0.0, producing a lot more water, but the prices for water by the NPC traders is only 35 ISK.

So the question is: should one stock-pile all water of NPC traders before CCP takes them out of the game?!? Surprised

You would be very wise to stockpile everything for now, except for maybe POS fuels. I also noticed people are buying out all of the NPC orders for Robotics and other such commodities, and the NPC orders aren't being reset.

I'd play the waiting game for now. The market will take a while to adjust, especially for the P4 items.

Also factor in the customs tax into the picture and the price of water goes even higher...

Thatís a fixed one-time cost; you can reset the extractor and do another batch with no further isk investment. The cost will be based on the export tax and how much people value their time.

You don't have to replace your Extractor everytime. Just doubleclick it and doubleclick your cycle of coice. ;) - no costs and all of my extractors are set after 3-4min per character. Laughing

at least in 0.0 this works as deposits there are kinda hard to deplete. Rolling Eyes

Based on some very basic calculations on the export and import taxes, if you exported and re-imported at every stage of production (not really too likely, youre most likely going to do a lot of on-planet processing) the different costs for each stage are as follows (ignoring initial equipment costs and a time based value)

R0 - 0.1 isk per item (300 export tax for 3000 items)
T1 - 8.27 isk each item (R0 cost plus 165.2 isk import/export tax for 20 items)
T2 - 23.44 isk each item (T1 cost plus 75.4 isk import/export tax for 5 items)
T3 depending on the material breakdown costs either 630 or 645 each using the same logic
T4 costs somewhere between 54k and 56k depending on how your T4 and T3 setup is worked out.
