I thought I had reached the maximum hatred for her...I even almost felt bad because of the ragging she got for her stupid and ignorant commentary.

What are you people talking about? imo, she adds valuable opposition to all the "eve is my entire life" commentators in the booth. She brings a different perspective, while still providing deep and rare expert insight comments. |

I know it can be a little nerve wracking to speak on live TV with over 15000 people watching (based on last confirmed update on the live feed), but still if you cannot commentate well enough for that you shouldn't of signed up for the tournament.
In addition, between my two characters I have about 1 year experience in null-sec, so not a great amount of experience to be an expert but I could do better than her. |

I don't know, I honestly think that the previous postee of that comment was trolling us but I wouldn't put it past people to be honest. The allure of freebies will tempt anyone, especially when its pretty much an all paid holiday to Iceland. However, in my opinion whether it was an all paid trip or not, she has made herself look like an idiot in return. |

I originally owed her mistakes to jitters, newbie exposure to a wide audience, etc, etc...
I've only been playing this game for 3 weeks (2 trial weeks ages ago, and this week as my third), and she fails to adequately answer the simplest of questions (re: Alpha damage). I'll admit, the question of Dramiels vs Wolf/Jag (also included Rifter for schnitzngiggles) was mine, I was honestly curious.
All I can say is I'm glad she did not field the question, or I would be less informed than when I started. And thanks for the helpful answer to Kil2. |

I would, however I don't fair well in front of large audiences, nor am I a public speaker. However, I was saying I could do a better job speaking than herself based on the last two weeks of commentating and then today.
Also, I would not apply for something like that, although a free trip to Iceland would be quite alluring, I only have 1 year of gaming experience (two by next year). Also there will be better commentators than myself and I would not want to screw up the viewings for other people. |

Ok guys. We all know how many mistakes any comentator can make. And no she may not be the smartest person on this planet we call earth. But does that mean she should get so much flack? Considering 99.9% of the people who play games are antisocial and dont go out and talk to other humans much let alone 95% of thoes guys that play only ever hear a womans voice once in 3 months and grew up learning that wemen belong in the kichen... Lets put all that aside tho... All in all she is doing a good job considering she herself probably doesnt do much socializeing outside of her room in front of her computer... wich lets be honest anyone who says they do but still claim to know more than any of the comentators is lieing. :)

No flame, sorry, but you must admit her answers are wandering at best, and nonsensical at worst. She may be intelligent for all any of us know, however a failure to articulate that intelligence correctly would lead those that do not know her (whom I would assume to be quite a number of us by all appearances) leaves us with the opposite impression. If she lacks the knowledge to answer the question, she could say as much and let the question pass to one who is better suited to answer it, but on basic knowledge, things that most anyone who has played video games for any length of time should know, the answers should not be so rambling, in all honesty. To be verbose is one thing, and I'm not sure any would mind that as it seems to be a specialty of Kil2, but to fill the space with drawn out words and gap filling noises is another matter entirely. Mistakes will happen, yes. This is a fact of the human condition, however, making the same mistakes repeatedly causes one to call into question the ability of the speaker and thus you have things such as this thread. |
