I am trying to scan planets. I noticed in the tutorial vid that the basic space overview shows the planet name and the type of planet in the next colmn over. On my overview I only have the planet name, and I cannot find the toggle to turn on the type column.

Hopefully I am missing something obvious.

Open overview settings (little triangle top left overview)
Select 'Columns' and check 'Type'.

You might want to take a look at Louis's epic overview settings Razz

hmm, ya, I knew it was something simple. I checked and I already had type checked off, but my names column was too wide and pushed the type off the screen, lol. Ty for the help though.

Next related question. When I go to my starmap and look at neighboring systems, I can planet scan them, but I see no way to show planet types for the system you are looking at but not in. Am I missing something simple again?

'show info' on a System. Click Orbital Bodies tab. See planet types.
