Well I have petitioned and submitted multiple bug reports since the first day, got the same eventual response of clearing all cache, updating everything possible, etc. etc.

I have found several solutions/work arounds:

1) Planet UI for some of us seems to ONLY WORK IN WINDOWED MODE.

2) Here's the real kicker of a work around (that seems to work for me): If you can't seem to access the right structures and you ARE ALREADY IN WINDOWED MODE, try hitting esc, switch it to full screen mode... force it to change. THEN hit esc and CHANGE IT BACK TO WINDOWED MODE. For some reason, this is the only way to get it to respond to your needs to select the appropriate structures.

[shrugs] Hey I don't program it, I just use it... and at times like these when CCP does NOT respond (or the petition GM's say to submit a bug report and the bug reporters in turn tell you to submit a petition) sometimes you have to play around and find your own solution.

Of course, we pay for this, and all our hours wasted trying to come up with an answer when CCP won't address itself, begins to tick people off.

I hope that works for you. (My system is a very up to date XP Pro SP3+ set up with plenty of memory, a very capable video card and a slightly ungodly amount of storage space.)

Guess we have to wait for about 2 or 3 more patch upgrades before things start getting properly addressed... like gee, the known issue of "that loud sound" when jumping or docking... has YET to be fixed in their last patch update 1.0.1.

Great game guys but spaceships should not fly sideways through warpSmile. Nor should sharp hissy traffic sounds in my headset occur while jumping gates, or signing in and finding all of your stuff missing Shocked(re-logged, okay, phew). Then there's an overview that keeps my finger hovering over the tab "refresh" button to make sure that group of 8 BS's aren't 20km from me rather than 50k where they belong Rolling Eyes. Then there's the buying things that instantly go to never ever land...

This has been a very frustrating 3 weeks for me, with the clincher (Despite the war dec), my main has been stuck off and on in space because of system crashes (alt stuck in station) that occur when warping away from stations and star gates, since at least 2007 for CCP and eve , and the Tyrannis patch for me Mad. Good that I spent most of the time in a WH Surprised .

Yes cache and settings relocated (no help) and about to reload the patch but... ugh From what I've heard here, I'm not holding my breath. The crux of this is that this problem has been around since at least early 2007, even for those with skookum graphics cards and all the latest drivers, which naturally I also double checked on my own machine.

I'd say wish me luck but I think CCP might need your blessings more right now Wink.

I wish I had time to worry about Planetary Interaction bugs, but I crash so often, it is a mute point. Python25.dll comes up in the error reports a lot. Random times between crashes. Sometimes 3 hours, sometimes 3 minutes. Doesn't seem to be tied to anything like session changes or anything I can determine. May just be in warp or sitting in an icebelt... POP.... I am gone again. I have cleared cache, TRIED to re-install the game, but get nothing but corrupt file errors after downloading for 2 1/2 hours. 3 TIMES!!! Once with online installer, twice with offline installer....

Don't think I will be paying for this next month if I can't play. Maybe wait til I see a fix on the forums, or maybe just go play MechWarrior or watch TV. Hell, I might even start drinking again.

Iíve not read all the pages so donít know if this is a reported problem or not but Iíve had this bug twice now as confirmation.

I have a Temperate planet with spare power so placed an advanced processor to take in Mechanical Parts and Consumer Electronics and output Robotics (no real reason just to use the spare power in case you ask).

I use my Launch Pad as the collection point and storage all in one so import exactly 1000 units of each P2 product.
1000 units should produce 300 units of Robotics (yes?) but on my first try I get 285 units.

So I try a second run of 1000 units, this time I get 288 units of Robotics. It seems that each downtime I lose 1 complete output of Robotics.
First run, 5 downtimes and lost 15 units, second run 4 downtimes and lost 12 units, so coincidence or a major bug?

All EVE timers are screwy, the aggression timers rarely sync up with your opponents, the PI thing is now being screamed about, and now one of my accounts goes dormant several hours before the "EVE clock" supposedly runs down (for me), If I weren't going through 3 weeks of patch related crash syndrome on top of that I'd be chuckling and not screaming about the regular inconsistencies inherent in such a large game and not the apparent ineptitudes of programmers and corpies rushing to meet deadlines.

This has been a billion isk nightmare that I've been paying for (and that's a laugh) but no more. Fix your major bugs CCP before you expect people to pay to play, thank you and great luck in the future, the game has potential and was really fun at first.

If I hear any good news I might reactivate my 3 accounts but enough is enough, gotta make a stand somewhere.

I was completely sympathetic with CCP until I saw all of the people who were having similar problems, they really have to redirect and aspire to a quality not quantity attitude

Well, I guess my issues are kinda trivial compared to some of the other posts. Before the expansion, I didn't have too many issues/problems with the game but things seem to have gone from bad to worse so I might as well list them and get this over with.

- Sound -
During the session change of jumping between systems and entering/leaving stations, the sound level get's really loud and quite frankly, sounds like a cross of static and feedback.

- Graphics -
Whenever anyone listed in CONTACTS logs in or out of the game, for lack of a better description, the screen will flicker and twitch a few times as well as freeze for a second or two.

Would also like to note that major screen freeze happens whenever People and Places is opened as well as when switching between the tabs in it. It also takes a long time to load.

When Character sheet is opened, will get a little bit of freeze until Standings is clicked which takes a long time to load and of course, major screen freeze.

Mail window also takes a long time to load and causes heavy screen freeze.

I guess those could also be considered Applications.

- Applications -
LAG - It's more pronounced now. Doesn't matter if there's 1 or 100 or 1000 players in system. Was in 4/10 Cosmos Complex with 3 other players, only had 8 players in system and had major lag while killing NPC's and structures. I understand now why Titans and Dreads are being easily destroyed in major Fleet battles. The reason = LAG

Browser is still slow and also causes major screen freeze.

Note Pad will delete and or duplicate/rewrite notes.

System Scan result box, when clicking to ignore one single result, all the same type of results will be deleted/ignored. Very frustrating and time consuming.

Forum - Having to re-log 2 or 3 times is not a security control feature. This option only creates more stress on the server which probably helps cause more lag. Not to mention most computers remember user-names and passwords.

- These are my main issues -
Lag - it's everywhere now.
Sound - loud static/feedback during session change
Graphics - screen flicker/twitch and freeze associated with contacts log in or out.
Applications - System scan result box deleting all results when only one is selected.
Forum - Multiple log in just to post a reply to a thread.

I appreciate and enjoy all the new content being added to the game but some of these issues/bugs have been in the game since day one. Please take some time to fix all or most of the issues that have been reported by players before adding any more new content.

Once more into the breachÖ

Over the last month I have shared the same problems as many of the visitors to this forum, 17 of them to be precise. I have been polite and accommodating to the GMís as possible, I have tried most all of the suggestions put forth by them and provided in this forum, several times in many instances.

I wonít waste time listing my woes but I would like to add that in the last several weeks I feel like I've been reduced to a trained circus animal jumping hoops. I donít like nagging but I think everyone in this forum who has the ability to appreciate all facets of a problem or idea, from the carebears to the angriest of us will agree that though this game has jenesequa (a certain something) it deserves more than what Tyrannis has offered it to date.

My base earning potential leaves me out at least 1B isk due to the infamous patch, which doesnít begin to include PI, something I canít start until this is dealt with. Primarily due to this and the amount of time consumed pulling hair out in jumping those hoops, I for one will not be on after tomorrow because Iím letting my accounts go dry until CCP can figure out why their software doesn't appear to be seating itself properly on the various OS's and systems.

I am already a person with physical limitations and will not spend another dime on a game where Iím expected to pay to play an infirmed version of it, regardless of what it does to my training queue. I hope that CCP can understand this and weather itís problems without to much bad press and I also hope that everyone who has had issues with the game has some form of relief from there troubles.

Submitted the following petition, now have the issue on another planet:

I had 31.40 units of Plasmoids which wont transfer using the Expedited Transfer option.
I have 31.40 units in the storage unit but get error message that states "You cannot perform this Expediated Transfer as the facility your sourcing your commodities currenlty lacks the requested 31.40 units of Plasmoids."

The number of units increases as the processors routes more units into the storage facility, but still get the error. I have waited for DT, logged off, waited for the number of units to increase etc, still get the same error.

I have had no problems transferring other unit types on this plant as well as on other planets.

PS: Tried again this morning and the items transferred ok.

Well, tried to petition EVE with only one open on the books, no can do. Anyone else having this problem. I know, not Tyrannis related but the petition is. And where the heck are the GM's? Do they actually get the weekend off after dropping Tyrannis on us?

Been away for a while. Since Tyrannis, all I get is the flash screen, a short period where the main program tries to load, and then nothing. I use Windows XP, Nvidia 9600GT, Intel E8400 Core Duo at 3GHz.

I've tried the usual - clearing the cache, patching manually, and then when those didn't work, uninstalling and downloading a fresh, current version of Tyrannis.

Still no Eve. Is there a fix? What changed that's screwing me up?

Try launching eve in safe mode. My guess would be that there's something wrong with nv drivers or multi-core is an issue (happened to me once with AMD, but that was another game).

Hi Laika. Thanks, will try the link. Safe mode doesn't work either: flash comes up, disappears, Eve tries to load, stops after a few seconds. On closing the tab, Windows gives it a "This program is not responding" message.

OK no sooner posted than fixed.

For anybody else with a similar problem - Hardware Acceleration needs to be turned up to full. I had tuned it down to play some old Icewind Dale mod and forgotten to tune it back up.

When you set up waypoints yourself it "reoptimizes" your waypoints to take you into low sec...lost 2 ships thanks CCP! for this BS patch..and the API Server is giving fubar info....im close to rage quitting

I'm getting "There was a problem accessing New Caldari I (Matigu)" when trying to view in planet mode since DT (07-02-2010).
I've tried science&industry window (in and outside new Caldari) and right-click menu in New Caldari, got the error everytime.

My other planets, located in another solar system, work fine, and this morning all planets, including New Caldari I, worked fine.

I've tried with an alt, who don't have a command center on this planet : same problem, but PI works fine on the planets she uses.

Some other players report the same problem, so it seems to be planet related

Planetary Interaction seems to be broken for me. I've restarted the client and cleared the cache and still the same problems persist. I cannot rotate the planet unless I'm clicking on the star scape background (so I have to zoom out), placing buildings is a nightmare, they won't place, they disappear when dragged and the default seems to be highlighting some random building whenever I click anywhere in planet mode. Anyone else having this problem?

Can I have your stuff? Oh, and CCP: Can we have a fix for the docking while agressed bug? I wonder how many people have figured the 30sec timer that magically resets when you click dock was just part of agro lol. Or maybe this isn't a bug, now that I think of it in a twisted dev way.

AlienFX only loads when it wants (very few and far between I may add). I never get the button to turn it on or off, except when it actually starts to work.

This gismo is not worth all the trouble I'm having to put in for it to work.

What can I do to ALWAYS have it work?!

I have a problem with the jukebox. When i start eve, it'll play the first song selected in the jukebox - this could be any song in the eve song list - and then it will cycle through all the other songs in the list without playing another, including the one that just played. Almost as if it can't find them.

I didn't have this problem with Apocrypha, but it started with the dominion release.

i'm using the windows version, and i believe the problem is client specific.

following bug exists:

1. pause a skill
2. allocate skillpoints until you're left with one incomplete skill with <1d on it.
3. put that unfinished skill at the top of the queue in front of the paused one
4. start it up

skill queue won't get processed.

GM's too inept to understand and can't see anything in their logs once they get to your petition after >1week.

better check on all your cap/leadership/whatever alts if they're still training, folks

I'd like to know exactly how we're supposed to report bugs so that someone sees them and they get worked. I've used the bug reporting system, but the bug status never changes. I've posted them in Issues and Workarounds with no responses. I haven't tried petitions, but I'm seeing others on this forum refer to that as a means to report issues. And I just discovered this thread, so that makes FOUR possible routes to report something. Which one should I use?

I've been building commercial software for 20 years. This is no way to handle users' issues. There should be one clearly defined entry point, and behind that should be a dedicated employee(s) triaging them and farming them out to the appropriate support/dev staff.
