Have you tried it while actually flying in space in a ship ?
It should display a series of concentric circles centered on your ship, hovering over a gun turret would display its optimal/faloff are displayed as transparent spheres, etc.

That would be the Tactical Overlay. Unfortunately, the shortcut does not trigger it's display at all for me. The shortcut seam to do nothing at all. I tried changing the keys to no avail. hmm.. I guess I'll keep smashing on it until something happens. |

Confirming this. It certainly does not open the tactical overlay. It does...nothing. |

Horray for broken shortcuts ?  Ok, fess up, which dev broke it this time (if it ever actually worked, I always click the icon instead of pushing the shortcut anyway). |

"Toggle Combat View" is not the same as "Show Tactical Overview". My guess would be that this shortcut command was not designed to display the tactical overview, but rather has some other purpose. However, at the moment, it seems that purpose is not working.
Perhaps it is a subroutine installed in all of our craft by some unknown agent for some neferious reason? |

This morning I was browsing the shortcuts menu and found this shortcut. I could not find out what it does, nothing happened after I pressed ctrl-alt-t several times.
But now, I see this thread. I believe it is somehow connected... |

IIRC it's what the dev camera accounts use for the alliance tourney etc.
And it's only availiable on certain accounts, similar to all the GM commands etc. |

I looked this up recently and from the sounds of things it's an option they used/use for the EVE Tournament things. It's not available to players and does absolutely nothing.

It would be nice if there was a shortcut for the tactical overlay. I normally keep those buttons hidden since, autopilot, cargohold, etc all have shortcuts. |
