We all know that when the fabled Incarna finally makes its appearance, it will have the features that we have seen in videos...and that some of us have actually had the oppertunity to play at the fan fests. These things include owning your own shop/bar, gambling mini games...strippers. Twisted Evil

What I would like to know is, what would you like to see added using the walking in stations engine further down the line?

Myself personally, would like to see market places on stations that are run by players. So rather than having shops that look all nice and neat, how about the dingy, grubby and crowded markets you see on some of the more gritty sci fi show?

I would also love to see added to the game at some point being able to explore a planet on foot. Or at least small sections of said planets, doing some real exploring. This would give the opportunity of adding new tech into the game in the form of ancient alien ruins. I know that this would be a long way from incarnas release...so Im not holding my breath.

But lets see what you might like to have added to Incarna and developed for it in the future.

Possibility of death and property loss, and an industrial component. Last time CCP spoke about Incarna, they suggested that it will involve some kind of off-grid "black market" or otherwise shady business. I could see them moving booster manufacture to the Incarana environment, for example. Or perhaps it'll be implant manufacture. If people can build factories, of course, others have to be able to attack and destroy them.

I'm all for Walking in Stations, but this sounds a little Star-Trekkie. What possible reason could you have for exploring some place on foot? Entire planets can be mapped from space, and you can never really explore some place no one has been before unless its procedurally generated. And then it would look dumb AND be pointless.

If CCP is going to spend some dough on level designers, I would much rather they spend all their time on Stations and (maybe) planet-side buildings. None of the outdoorsy exploration crap though. Just casual walking around. No hiking stick required.

I think walking in stations is for lounging. And that's it.

It will make the time you spend inside a station (which can be kinda a lot), hopefully, more pleasant, and the interaction between players deeper, as now you can actually talk to someone face to face instead of just seeing a portrait.

Things I want to see in station walking,

1) A bar like area for interacting with one another.
2) If you corp has an office here a place that is only open to your corp people.
3) If it can be done, I would like to be able to view SCOPE reports like they gave in one of the game trailers.
4) Maybe some store fronts or such to advertise something for corps (I don't want to change the buying system, but a place where a corp can offer to build ships or such would be good.)

Things I don't want to see.
1)agent stores. I quit a lot of other MMO's cause i didn't like having to fight my way through crowds of people when i had to talk to someone.
2) Don't want to see it go into a 1st person shooter. We are pilots not marines, let dust514 do that if they want.
3) I sometimes don't want to get out of my ship for some things, such if I'm getting repaired or such I don't want have get of the ship walk to a place and talk to a someone to get this done. Most of the stuff should stay the same. As the guy before me said basically a place to lounge when having to wait around or such.

I want to PvP all them, who dare not to undock, when I've been camping them for hours, so Dear CCP, please buy the engine of tekken 5 (or some else) and implement it to walking on stations, so that I can kick ass inside stations.

DUST 514

Im well aware of Dust 514, but that is combat for planetary control, not planetary exploration.

Well, I gave one idea behind the reasons you might want someone exploring ruins on a planet and that would be the introduction of tech 3 or 4 stuff. Most likely tech 4 as the tech 3 stuff seems to be coming mainly from WH Space. But yes, you are right that if it is not handled properly it could end up alot like STOs engine. The thing is with that....Cryptic suck and ****ed up big time with STO. CCP do not suck like Cryptic and I would trust them to come up with a mechanic that would fit the mood and feel of EVE.
