The goon was trying to say that, as a high sec corp, your members haven't had the opportunity, nor the will to take sov, to have or even use a titan, to have flown anything that's a capital ship (excluding the occasional orca, or freighter since those are caps by technicality), and/or to have set up a jump bridge network.

You, berated the goon on losing all of those things, in one fell swoop. (which was frankly hilarious)

The goon, retorted by saying that, in order to lose those things, you must first have them. He claimed he was better than you because, even though the goons lost those things, they actually had them in the first place. He was using the common metaphor of steps to do this.

Generally people say that things that are better than other things, are "above" or "in front of" things that are worse. The metaphor treats a stairwell as a metaphorical ranking of things. Things that are better are a "step ahead" or a "step above" things that are worse. It wasn't a literal staircase, the goon, wasn't saying anything about your ability to climb an actual staircase, he was saying your perception of superiority was misguided, and using the metsphor of the staircase to add ooph to his statements.

LOL Yeah 0.0 is great. You spend months or years creating your empires. Thousands of man hours are consumed refueling pos, doing mining ops, fighting off invasions, invading, creating your jump bridges and building outposts. You spend hours hanging around for a fleet to form only to jump into a system and black screen and die without ever seeing your enemy.

Then just when you think you have finally triumphed, along comes a disgruntled or greedy director who dismantles everything at the touch of a button, or is too busy enjoying the charms of his new wife to remember to pay the bills. Years of work gone in an instant. Of course you'll say it's hilarious.

And mister you'd be very surprised as to just how many Privs have actually got their "mains" in your 0.0 alliances, we are amongst you

I wonder if you guys care at all about the history of Eve? My point here is what have you done? What stories will be talked about for years to come in regards to PA? These losses and gains of systems are what make this game what it is, not sitting at a high sec station and shooting people who are unaware of wardec mechanics or just aren't paying attention.

You will fade off into the nothingness and those who have fought, won and lost only to repeat this all over again will be talked about when people read the history of eve. If you don't show up in history, you didn't exist. PA is nothing.
