I was a senior investment banker for a well know finacial institute for 14 years. However, in July of 2006 I was fired for irregularities in my records which I'd rather not go into detail about.

Within a few weeks of this happening and now spending all my time at home, I noticed irregularities in my wife's behaviour and after confronting her over them she left me for another man.

Unfortunately, she reacted quite vindictively and filed for divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour demanding a ridiculous settlement. Yet dispite her affair the courts sided with her. Then in addition she reported me to the IRS (tax) over some undeclared earnings.

In the investigation that followed I was offered a deal - either 3 years in prison or the return of all my oversea investments to the IRS. I opted for the latter. I had to apply for personal bankrupcy following this. Fortunately I was able to move back in with my eldarly parents to help me through that finacial crisis period.

Shortly after that I started playing EVE for the first time, it was only going to be temporary until I got a job again, but that never happened, I got completely immersed in the game and now play it almost constantly.

Sure, I'd be happy to talk to the press for you.

Post in this thread.

I'd love to help out, but the closest I am to something on that list is a con man. The rest of the stuff is scary. I think there is certainly a mentality that goes with these forms of employment either actually or ingame, but sadly my career path is not something that I think you're looking for.

I would be happy to have a chat about being a money-hungry charlatan, however.

I'd be happy if I understood less about global monetary policy.

Anyone who works in that field and is happy with their job probably deserves jail time more than your average two bit car thief.

Odd ....

First CCP asks for bankers and financial guys.

Then we see a massive drop in the Dow Jones Index (over 1000 points in a single go!).

And now TQ crashes and is down for unknown time.

WHAT ARE YOU PLOTTING THERE IN ICELAND, CCP???

Janks here!

Janks IRL is a Comptroller for a 53 year old family business and goes totally bonkers over numbers. Some would argue a big burly man like The Janks is emasculated by sitting in a chair for up to 10 hours a day with pens and pencils resting on his ears, sifting through ledgers, printing reports, resisting temptations of committing seppuku with his desk calculator, but the truth is Janks is not burly. He isnít petite either, but he is whatever you want to be if you buy the drinks.

You can't spell Comptroller without spelling Troll.

Janks also likes to dabble in the penny stock market, and within two months is proud to say he tripled his initial investment so that he COULD have gone to Iceland this fall for fanfest, but then CCP changed the dates and Janks simply canít get away in the Spring. Janks is most depressed, as well as the lady that sleeps with him who was going to participate in the Sisters of Eve thingy. Between you and me, upsetting her was your biggest mistake! Janks polishes his double barrel stapler every night wishing he knew the names of those responsibleÖ. There will be reconciliation. That was an accounting joke, get it ?
Anyhow, thatís all Janks has to say on that.
This post will self depreciate.
Thatís another accounting joke.
