Whether it’s cornering the market on EANM IIs or supplying the financial backing (with interest) for a corp looking to find a home in a Class III wormhole, some of you pilots MUST be real life financiers, bankers, brokers, traders, economists, professors, (probably con men), accountants or investment bankers.
If you are one of these folks, or you know one through your corp, alliance or by having shady deals with them in game, we’re looking for some real-life-financial-types who would be interested in press interviews. Post in this thread.

Perhaps a fair question, but rest be assured that this post is hoping to put 2 and 2 together in the same way we provide contact information for the CSM (upon granted permission of course) when we get press requests to talk to them. We don’t want to stand in the way of you telling your story. It's what makes EVE, EVEish. However we do want to lend you a bit bigger megaphone if possible. Seems like a good way to draw attention to one of the many things EVE has to offer those who play other games or GASP don't play games at all...yet.

Well, I work at a bank, I don't handle investment related stuff, though. Doing consumer banking, stuff like budgets, small loans etc. If that's any use, count me in. |

loving eve and most of its mechanics and belonging to the aforementioned group, i have to admit that at least i myself am somewhat reluctant to seeing my real name published next to an article of me participating in a cut throat business simulation, of pirates and corporate warfare and such.
Don't get me wrong, I'm loving it, but people are being somewhat ******ed at the moment when it comes to bankers and economists that do not advocate the socialist teachings.

Alright,
guilty as charged. 15 years of private banking, equity management, venture capital development and governance provisioning. Currently (mostly) happily retired.
You would be surprised how many in the sector actually play or are familiar with EVE (I know a few who even have ragequit over the years). Interestingly, while they're all well off in virtual terms (when there is blood on the streets, buy property, if property is too expensive make sure blood gets on the streets), only a minority of them has ever tried to replicate real life structures or ventures in EVE.
I have to admit to having used EVE at work, both for private enjoyment (never underestimate the prowesse of a good PA or secretary at tracking the EVE side of business as well), as well as for both team building as for challenging hands on experiments in virtual settings.
Slightly digressing, it may equally be a surprise to investigate and find out the (ab)use of EVE in educational environments.
One comment however, I do presume the standard options for discretion, privacy, validation and approval will apply to any further steps. |

Not posting on my main. I am a lawyer specialized in insolvency and recapitalization. Still rather young (in that job just for about a year). However, when it comes to the economic relations of this game I heavily rely on the input of my corpmates, which tend to be in completely different jobs not related to economic endeavours. The most successful I know is actually a physicist specialized in some strange things about astronomy. Dr. Eyo did an interview with my brother in law (I call him my brother in law, but he's technically not married to my sister) about the Eve-Economy in Mid-2009. The article got released in the german newspaper 'Die Zeit'. I hope you've all read it. Good Night. |

I work on a dark-pool crossing and routing engine for securities for a major US (global) bank.
I am, however, fairly new at it, but definitely firmly entrenched deeper in the business than most will ever hear about, let alone see.
More than that I'm not comfortable disclosing in public. |
