As I was writing a long and thought out rant to CCP about the constant Disco's, I was randomly Disco'ed off eve. It is unbelievably a problem, I get diso'ed atleast 4 times in the last hr. OK I have a brand new computer less than 1 week old, i have a brand new modem and router, and yet I am still getting disco at random.

WTF CCP I have seen thread after thread of the diso prob and no CCP response, WHY?

I have three accounts and have just cancled 1 of them I cannot PVP as I get disco randomly, I cannot mission as I get disco constantly, so why am I and all the other folks paying you to play a unplayable game?

CCP can we please get a intelligent response to this obvious problem.

Well sir lucky you for sure, but I started this game in early 05' and I too never experienced disco probs until about 2 weeks ago, and it doesent matter what I am doing sitting spinning ships in station, ratting, mission.

It is random and it just reboots to login screen, I am not alone on this, I disco'ed 3 times just lastnight. But I would really love a dev respons on this potential problem.

ISP issue.

Change your ISP to one on a different carrier/backbone. Try again.

Had the same problem. Disconnecting every 2 minutes or so.

Turned out my ISP made some changes to their transparent proxies, which cycle IP addresses and throttle/shape bandwidth. They promply lost thousands of gaming subscribers in the following weeks... *giggle*

Rule of thumb: If there arnt a thousand other players moaning about the same issue. Look closer to home.

LOL i hear ya however I have grilled my ISP and they have tested my upload and download rates and they are actually better than I am paying for Shocked brand new NetGear router extended range, brand new surfboard modem, and a brand new ASUS Republic of Gamers Notebook.

Not sure what else yall think i need to check but suggestions are welcome.

Hi again. I happen to work at an ISP. In 98% of the customer calls we have that are related too connection issues, we see that a majority of the computers are installed with vista and windows 7. We also see that those people have issuse with packet loss and speed. Why?

Another problem we see is that Linksys routers do disconnect by themself. And we have reported that in too the cisco system. We have not gotten a response on that yet.

Yesterday i had a customer that sits on a 10Mbps synchronized line, and he had a 10Mbps download but only 2Mbps upload with his brand new windows 7 pc. then he said he had an older pc with xp, and i asked him too try the connection with that and guess he got 10mbps both ways. So i dont think we should blame ccp with this yet.

I belive it is the ****ty OS from windows that is the main problem here.

If I understand you correctly you are playing on a wireless LAN?

If that is so, have you tried using cable to connect to your router?

My wireless network is used mostly by my HTC Desire actually :p My computer and server are both connected to the internet through cables. I used to have them on wireless, but it was simply to unreliable for my taste.

Ok now i have the same problem as you as technically almost as you. I dun dc as much as you do. Probably 3 or 4 times in a day. But i am out of sync everytime its last from few seconds to a full 30 secs. If i am out of sync for more then 2 minutes i know i have dced. And yes i cant do ****, i am risking my ship by doing L4 missions. I think it was affected by the testing on singularity. Can someone help us?

Hmmm weird. I never have problem with dc and or sync problems. The only times i experience lag is when i try too run 3 accounts on my pc. And i use both sisi and tranq servers. Allthough i still run xp on my pc, sit on a wireless router dlink. i have a 20 mbps sync internet connection.

I know it has been awhile since you first posted and you have not shown that your problem is fixed.

For you and others that are connected to the WWW Via cable, recommend you check your cable splitter.

Problem: about 2 years ago I had problems not only with EVE (it had the most problems) but also other MMO's

After doing several thing, including working with the ISP and buying a new router.

The last thing I did was to eliminate the splitter by using a direct connector from the cable in to the cable modem.

Problem Fixed.

I bought 2 HIGH Quality splitters with the cable modem connected to the #1 split socket. One I keep as a spare (darn stuff always breaks down 2am in the morning).

Since I got the high quality splitter my packet loss is down, my DC's are down my Fun Time is UP.

Additional note: ----- Always have the cable modem cable on the #1 slot on the First splitter. NEVER use a splitter connected to a Splitter.
