So when someone decloaks and then cloaks again on gate. Does the whole assigning drones thing to an inty pilot help decloak? If yes/no. Please provide proof.

hi cat here

when there are drones or stuff then it decloaks stuff that is cloaked and if there are a few people dragging drones in a known position then that means there is a chance at least one of them will hit i dont know how effective it is tbh but i have certainly seen it tried many times lol

Well I've heard that CCP got rid of drones being able to do that.

Yes it does help. it increases the area a single ship is able to decloak at once. Instead of a 2km radius around a ship, you get a 2km radius for the ship as well as every drone following the ship. The drones end up pretty spread out when you consider different speeds and that drones pulse their MWD.

Just ran an experiment. Warped to a planet, dropped a sentry drone and abandoned it. Moved to 3km and cloaked. Approached it. Decloaked at 2km. Repeated with a Hobgoblin. Same result.

As far as I know, drones used to not decloak ships that were cloaked, but only prevented them from cloaking. It seems that the mechanics have changed so drones indeed will cause your ship to decloak.

If my memory serves me correct, drones have always been able to de-cloak ships. Assigned drones have done this for the history of the 'assign' function.

Shame they didn't make money fly out of your wallet and into the respective wallets of those that deserve to be paid.
