If you need to tank something in it with a medium sized tank then you have pretty much already messed up and there is no hope for your barge / exhumer anymore :\ Otherwise it's at least cap stable with small shield boosters, isn't that what matters in high sec mining anyways :) |

The only barge that can mount enough of a tank to resist a suicide gank and still pull nearly max yield is the hulk with max fitting and shield skills with a hardwiring enhanced buffer tank. Heh, my battle barge hulk is infamous on the test server for taking out all manner of ships up to a vaga kill with the help of a freindly scrambling ac puni.  The best you can do with the rest of them is squeeze in a small or med extender with a resist rig for the damage type the rats will shoot at you. That will be plenty to tank any rat spawn in .5 and higher but it won't stop even a noob suicide gank. Working as intended. |
