Pay yearly, then. With 7 accounts you'll save:
11 months x 7 accounts x $2 = $144
And then the discount for yearly subs
7 accounts x ((12 x $14.95) - ($131.40) = $48) = $336
Total saving: $480
THIS!!! It's not like with 7 accounts you will suddenly decide to quit the game. |

So, wait. You're crying, cause you have to pay $15+$2=$17 (DUH! math) monthly per account while the Europeans pay approximately $20 per account BEFORE any transaction fees are applied? I would love to pay even $17 for my EvE, cause that would amount to appr. 12.85€, but no, I have to pay $20. Thank heavens for sites like evetimecodes, and shatteredcrystal. |

When did you start playing, because BoA charged the 'International Fee' for the month I paid for last summer.

14.95€ equals only 11.12€ and even with your bank's transaction tax it's still 1.83€ short of what we pay.... |

if GTC's are overpriced then maybe its factoring in the tax there, either way nomatter what you buy using money you end up paying TAX at somestage or another, this is how it roll's alas. Now given CCP are Icelandic and as such a registered Iclandic company then they are going to end up paying local TAX in some form as well. Somebody has to prop up the local banks. This is how it roll's alas. But as CCP is also a international company and they also have local expenditure then the ability to spread income inline with expenditure would possibly allow for this solution: Limited number of localy generated GTC's that are sold within the region of the local generation and as such afford CCP a way to balance the books. This would be something they could look into though dont see many CCP ACCOUNTANTS posting on these forums :). The upside of this would be a means of accomodating TAX's on the balance sheet in a more affordable way reducing overheads to not only CCP but a fair proportion of the player base. As I said it would be limited as CCP would not be wishing to generate more local income compared to there local outlay(aka running costs like local office, staff pay, coffee etc). This would enable CCP to be better placed to leverage local TAX's to there best advantage akin to how Microsoft runs there accounts from a single state in america due to state tax liabilities being at there lowest; CCP would be able to better leverage this model of accounting but upon a global basis. But that's my best suggestion and I'm no accountant nor TAX certified expert. What suggestions do others have that would benifit the player without penalising CCP, anybody? |

Not sure why you put that there. I've been banking with BoA for over 15 years, been playing this game since '07 and haven't had the first hint of what you are describing. $14.99 per account is what I pay, period. No "international fees", no "exchange fees', so, not quite sure what you are on about............ |

Bank of America is the biggest scam running in the banking world... they used to charge people for talking to a teller at the bank... EVEN when there was a problem THEY caused with an account.
They will use any possible way to squeeze a few extra pennies out of anyone, and everyone...
the bank I have now pays me, thats right, all those fees BoA charges... "non-network ATM fees" even the $2 the random ATM at the airport charges I get BACK every month.
I also get paid a % of my debit card purchases and interest on my checking account monthly.
If your bank is jacking with you and telling you to take it... Take it or GO ELSEWHERE.
The only reason banks are able to do this crap to you is because you think there is nowhere else to go.
Also, even the federal government and dept of defense have stopped using BoA... that should tell you something.
Find a new bank, and let your money do the talking... thats how America works.

You're doing your conversion rates wrong. You can't just look at the nominal rates, you have to look at what equal amounts of currency buy you in your local region. Here in the US, a monthly subscription goes for $15. This is 15 items on a dollar value menu. Assuming there is a 'euro value menu' at similar venues in the EU, your €15 is also 15 items on the menu! So in actuality you're paying exactly the same price, at least in terms of value-menu items. A comparison of nominal rates without other considerations is at best misleading. |

Hmmm. I wonder if the reason you're garnering relatively little sympathy in this case is that many non-American EVE players have had ample experience of the greater mass of MMOs? Most tend to treat America as their actual intended audience, and anyone who strays in from any of the world's lesser, benighted nations is considered a mere bonus, tolerated for the sake of their subscription (once their heathen value tokens are converted into God's Own Currency, of course). (For the record, no: I have no problem with Americans at all. Actually, I quite like them. Some of them, anyway. But there are one or two who really seem to have trouble acknowledging that other nations can have any significance at all.) |
