Hi everybody,
I have questions concerning the clone bay capability of the Rorqual.
1. Do someone has to be inside the rorqual for the clone bay to be used ? (for example, I'm in empire, my rorqual is in my pos all alone, can i clone jump directly in it ?) 2. Can I clonejump inside a rorqual which is inside a ship maintenance array ? 3. Can I clonejump in a rorqual which is inside a forcefield of a POS ?
Please, don't guess, i need a true answer from an owner of a rorqual. Thanks in advance and fly safe mates.

Edited by: Herring MacGuffin on 26/03/2010 20:31:27 Clone Vat Bay usage (the lost manual): Step zero, Form a fleet with the piloted rorqual. Step one, Have the piloted Rorqual turn on its vat bay when you're next to it. Step two, Have the pilot right click his ship, configure, offer invitation to clone. Step three, accept and install a clone. Note: this will be a clean clone and use one of your jump clone slots from infomorph psychology. Step four, go to a station and dock when you want to clone jump to the rorq. Step five, have the piloted rorq get to where you want him and then turn on his clone vat bay. Step six, clone jump to rorq. You'll either appear in a pod next to him or your client will crash. Relogging will have you in a pod in the target system, though.
Edit: Please note: at no time will the vat bay work without the rorqual being piloted, since it needs to be turned on (and consume fuel) to be a valid target. The CVB will work inside POS shields with no issues. |

Not quite correct. When you active your Jump Clone, your pod will appear in the destination system, AT A SAFE SPOT. Bookmark this spot for a free Safe Spot. You would then either warp to the Rorqual you're fleeted with to get a ship out of it, or to a station or POS. |

Also incorrect, you don't have to be in fleet with the rorqual pilot. |

if i am the owner and pilot of the rorqual can i install my own jumpclone into the bay? if i leave the rorqual floating in m pos can i clonejump from it to another clone someplace else. can i jump from a station in empire to a jumpclone in a pos in 0.0 where i am the owner and pilot of the rorqual and no one else is in it. IE do i have to have someone else flying my rorqual for me to be able to jump to and from it?

You need somebody flying the ship to turn on the Clone Vat Bay.... |
