There's this Hulk Miner that afk mines in a 0.6 system and he has a pith B type that I want to get. I know Gallente Blaster Ships and Minmatar Artillery ships work best, but I can only fly Caldari Ships. I can use pretty much all Sub Capital Missile types to a good proficiency. What would be the best T1 insurable Caldari Ship to use to kill a Hulk before concord comes?

What about perhaps a triple TP torp Raven with 4 BCS in the lows?

No idea really, but that *COULD* have a nice alpha depending on how big you manage to get the hulk to be with the TPs.

Siege missile launcher 6x
Warsp scrambler and rest target painters
Ballistic controls

This migh work with good skils, failed for me because I don't have good missile skills. Managed to come to armor

I guess I'll have to find a brutix pilot help finish him off then.

Torps have higher alpha, if you do manage to get use of it. I dont know the sig radius of a hulk so couldnt say if it would be worth using torps.

Perhaps something like:
Lows:
BCs x 4 (or 5)
Med:
TP x 4 + scram
High:
6x Siege T2 with T2 ammo whatever the hulk usually has a hole for
Rigs:
Rigor rigs x3 since you most probably can set yourself up to hit.

?

I thought rigors didn't work for Torpedoes.

add some arties in the highs, and some drooones.

this works.

check his resists (his fittings) though, an artypoc may likely one volley him.

Evemail me in-game with name/location etc, and I'll dispatch this guy for free Very Happy
If you want on the km too, I'm sure we can arrange something.

...and anything missiles is a bad idea, use turret boats as their DPS is instant.

Some good advice here, but I'd like to remind you of Triple Entendre's Principle (an integral part of Murphy's Law).

He'll drop the strip miners and the B-Type will go boom. Just because you want it. Sad

I'm a Caldari pilot and I recently started experimenting with suicide ganking in highsec. I've been ganking haulers though, which are half as tough to kill as Hulks.

I've been using a Torp Raven, with 2 painters and a scram. But I use a Cargo Scanner, and a Ship Scanner as well. If you already know how he's fit, you should be able to drop both of those and replace them with painters. Also, with 4 painters it should be safe for you to use Rage torps, as long as he isn't moving too fast. Otherwise use faction torps instead. I think thermal damage would be best for a Hulk, though how he's fit will have a huge effect on that.

When I overload my rack, I can get 2 volleys off before Concord shows up in 0.9 space. Not sure what Concord's response time in 0.6 is, but you should be able to get off 3 or 4, I think.

Before you do anything, scan the ship and test its fit on EFT, to see what its EHP is. Then from there decide if it is worth the attempt.

I would think a Drake with heavy assault missiles could probably pull it off. Named HAM launchers aren't outrageously expensive, but the named ballistic controls are best avoided. Don't bother tanking it, so there's no need to buy rigs. Hulks are 150 meters base signature radius, so I doubt torpedoes would be overly effective against one.

Good point. But in that case, he might be better off going with a Cruise Raven instead. He would be able to get much more damage from drones, and he could fit 2 rails along with the 6 cruises to get a little extra damage out of it.

EDIT: Session timeout fail.

Aim for 800 dps to be comfortably sure you can gank about any hulk fit in 0.6.
Like you said minmatar is nice for this. An all t1 fit torp phoon with tps and bcs and 5 ogres can get that dps easely with very mediocre skills. Not sure about a raven fit tho, but aim for the 800 dps. :)
edit
And get faction ammo. Remember you only need 4-5 rounds max and it makes a difference. Think the thermal ammo is good for hulks.

Disclaimer: I stole this. But I guess that's normal for C&P Wink

A miner, who'd broken the bank
On his hulk - but neglected his tank
minus tens, warped to zero
and combusted our hero
And so taught him the way of the gank

Raged our miner in local "You sod!
That's evil, a crime before God!
You can't pvp,
So instead you kill me!"
Quoth our Pirate, "10 mil, or your pod.."

Then Concord arrived, much delayed
To punish those pilots who'd strayed.
Our piratical crew
Knew their ships' days were though
And the miner was now less dismayed

Said the miner, "See, justice is brisk,
When you hamper rewards without risk"
But the pirates just laughed
In their egg-shaped space raft
"With insurance, we even made isk!"

Said the miner, "I can't hurt a fly
I just wish you'd get cancer and die (in game)
I have rights to your kills,
But it'd just give you thrills,
If I ventured to lowsec to try"

And so, if you're mining-inclined,
learn your lesson, and just stay aligned
Or return to the elves
And roleplay your true selves
A carebear, and rightly maligned.
