What is the number one less to be learned from the Empyrean Age novel?

Seriously, I wonder if Gear being mute was sort of a joke about "that guy" always on comms, but with no mic.

As far as the book goes, honestly the description of the salvaging rig was the most interesting thing i can recall. That and that jump gates have manned crews stationed on them.

And it rekindled my love for the glorious amarr empire.
