In the past EVE could be started without any installation.
Now the patch is requesting a reboot?

Sorry, what did you do with my PC?

I'd personally be making sure boot.ini is still there. Smile

boot.ini i not so critical - we can replace it.

But which part o the patch does need a restart?!
The embedded keylogger? YARRRR!!
Or some other data collection tools?

Nobody else had to reboot after patch?

Nobody else has a problem, if game which can be used without any installation now is requesting a reboot?

In the past we had a problem with the unauthorized installation of "file distribution services" - is this project continued?

___
worst case scenario: Testserver - the test of spy tools...

Didn't have to reboot, never had to. I did not run in any other problems with patching (apart from getting the right one, occasionally).

While I don't know the concrete magic behind it it sometimes (no very often) quotes for a reboot if it couldn't lock/unlock files correctly.

Thx.
I assume, a file was locked.
If I remember correctly, I started EVE to early (the patcher was not completly finished) - I stopped EVE immediatly as I did see the patcher, but maybe to late...

I didn't know the behaviour to reboot the PC if some files are not accessible - but I'm sure, it solves the problem Smile
