To revive an earlier thread with my opionions (or guesswork) Over the next 90 days, here is my best guess.
New sov mechanic is causing some consternation in the major alliances. Most will be getting a firm grip on their territory and figuring out exactly how much they can defend, hold and improve. All while awaiting the moon-product market to stablize more.
No larger alliance is willing to risk hundreds of ships including caps with the current grid load issues. I would expect to see skirmish warfare on a smaller scale perhaps, roving gangs of 20 - 50 interdicting supply lines just to irritate and have fun while CCP figures out their lag/grid issues.
IT - very silent of late. probably getting a firm grip on Delve right now and rebuilding a years worth of infrastructure and ships before they get too agressive.
RAZOR - Rebuild infrastructure and assist WI. in gaining sov back. New area perhap instead of Geminate?
MM - Not a fricken clue what they will be doing other than continuing to amass tons of ISKies. I just don't think they will be too agressive, doesn't seem to be their style.
Goons (in whatever name or form) - getting back to their roots and just play for fun for a bit. will make a major sov resurgance of some flavor but, i would expect it to be at least 120 days out.
In any case, will be fun to watch it all unfold. Opinions? |

Goons will not be retaking sov for a long while if ever, they have no interest in holding anything or paying bills at the moment and just want to chill in Syndicate since all the stupid sov loving pubbies left after the space was lost. |

I think the recent CVA and AAA offensives somewhat disprove your theory.
After all both risked large numbers of caps in fighting last month or so. |

Edited by: SaneBlade on 19/02/2010 17:07:19Since it would actually be next Great War Four by now, I would like to name it as Cold War. Look at the map, south is again happy carebear land, like north. East has IRC again and XXxxXxxXXdeathXxXxXxXXxxxxXXxx's are careabearing well too. IT will make their Delve a fortress again and rent out the Fountain. My call is that it will be atleast of six months of Cold War, not a single proper fleet fight involving 100s of capital ships. There isn't real reason for it. Reason for that is Dominion. Right now even largest 0.0 alliances can get enough resources from much smaller space. More people keep coming into 0.0, as pets and renters, but there isn't real need for real wars between powerblocks. Unless CCP makes changes into moons or T2 production costs. IMHO, this is really dangerous situation for the game. The war in 0.0 fuels the market and players playing this game. Well, that's my guess I can be horribly wrong too and the whole 0.0 might ignite into flames tomorrow night haha |

There is really no such thing as a supply line. Its jump points and no roving gang of 20-50 is gonna interdict a JF at a deathstar unless u got drive-by titans or a really dumb JF pilot.

IT I think has done a great job as far as killing off the former pets of an alliance that no longer hold sov in that special place Q & D ,Also I think their retalliation will go much further than just whats in front of them . I forsee a march for another area that will leave many more in need of my services (see my post on help for goonies) after which I will offer my wisdom and kindness to NC . Jita |
