Since this morning I can no longer play EVE. The splash screen appears, but the server status is shown as unknown.
I successfully played yesterday.
I'm running on windows XP and I have to play on the 3724 port because of some router firewall.
But it worked fine for months until today.

I have the latest version (127381). I tried to uninstall and then dl and reinstall the full version: same problem.
I ran the repair.exe tool: no result.
I cleared the cache folder: problem still here.

I don't know what to do anymore, help requested please.

If it's possible, I'd love to get some LogServer logs from your startup and connection attempts. That and a tracert to Tq. If my memory serves (and you're on Windows) open up a command prompt and type 'tracert 87.237.38.200'. Out of interest, what ISP's are you connecting from?

It could be that theres an unhelpful ISP on the route, or some other network issue that's stopping you from connecting.

I took a look at your log, but I'm stumped as to why it's not connecting. I can see you starting the client at the timestamp
2010.01.30 14:43:07:975 Exefile STARTUP
and then it closing at timestamp
2010.01.30 14:44:58:462 Exefile SHUTDOWN User requesting close

So it's doing something for almost 2 minutes, but I don't see any problems being raised to the log.

Your tracert result also makes it seem like there's no fault, since the route to the cluster in London doesn't drop any packets.

I don't know what to suggest, beyond trying to change your port back to 26000 and see if you still have the same result (http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Problems_connecting_on_port_26000)

I won't switch back to the port 26000, this port is locked by a router I don't have access to.
3724 worked well for more than 6 months.
The problem came with the latest patch, I don't know what to do now, I already tried to reinstall. Sad

Can you check whether you can connect from a different pc in your network? I know not everyone has several, but if you can make sure that it's definitely your connection or something on your pc, you'd be a huge step forward.

I only have one, but yeah it is a good idea I'll try to get another one to test.

I'm seeing the same problem, it seems to be some horrendous packetloss issue transitioning between ATT (SBCGLOBAL) circuits and Telia/CCP. Going through Verizon WWAN no problem (albeit slooowly).

Hopefully some network engineer has been called to bounce/replace a router or load balancer or whatever those nodes are.

With the information given I would guess that whoever DOES control the router has decided to block the port you were using. They had probably blocked the normal port to stop you (and others) playing EVE or block something else that used that port. Now they've noticed you using the other port and have blocked that one too.
