I put together this file for the new players in our Corp to assist with identifying hostiles while out on fleet ops. I printed mine double sided for ease of use; I hope other players find this helpful.

EVE Ship Reference Card v1.10 (PDF)
Raw Data 1.10 (Excel 2003)

I've also provided the raw data for anyone that wants to tweak the file.

Feedback and corrections are appreciated.

If you like the file check out my CEO's blog "Confessions of a Wormhole Killer".

Changes in version 1.10:
* Added entry for Echelon.

Changes in version 1.09:
* Added entries for Noctis and Revenant.
* Corrected Drone bandwidth entries for Supercarriers.
* Formatting of Drone information column.

Changes in version 1.08:
* Corrected entry for Sin.
* Added Adrestia, Freki, Mimir, Primae, Utu.
* Removed Interbus Shuttle.
* Streamlined abbreviations.

Changes in version 1.07:
* Corrected entry for Loki.
* Updated entry for Curse.

Changes in version 1.06:
* Corrected entry for Tengu.
* Added Rookie ships.
* Added Navy Issue Cruisers.
* Increased key size.

That is pretty darn cool.

One thing I think noobs could use in there is the threat any of those ships pose under gate gun fire in low sec. You could give it a 4 rank system.

Rank 1 - can not tackle on a gate (frigs, most cruisers).
Rank 2 - can gank under gate guns but cant tank. cruisers/some battle cruisers/some hacs).
Rank 3 - can tank the gate guns but is slow to lock (battleships and up)
Rank 4 - can tank the gate guns and will lock cruisers and larger instantly (HIC, some hac's).

just a thought.

Good idea, some suggestions for your consideration.
Needs a key esp for DPS.
Tank seems to be rated as Armour/Shield only and ignores Nano/speed tanks, what about EW, what does + mean?
Just grey out the N/A.
Different pages, same info but ordered/grouped differently, e.g. by Faction, by Ship class. Print the page for the order they prefer.
Column for sensor type & strength, and damage types.

The last time I checked, the Tengu was not a Minmatar ship.

Looks like a great reference, though.

Excellent work even though it may need some revisions (esp. for Tengu). Something like this should have been created a long time ago (at least I am not aware of earlier attempts at this). One change I would propose is to rate tank in the following manner: A-S (400)where

-"A" is the total number of nominal hitpoints without recharge using the ammo to which the ship is most vulnerable (you could have a legend saying that A is anything over 10,000 hitpoints), etc.;

"S" - tank type (in this case shield); and

-"400" is the average dps that the ship would tank using the cookie-cutter setup (pvp setup, whenever one feasibly exists or pve in all other cases) under all level 5 skills and a typical ship behavior (i.e. speed tanking, etc.) again the damage type to which it is most vulnerable. In some cases this would be an estimate at best, but it would be a much needed start for some.

Another convenience point (although I am not sure if this will work), is to change this docs into a list of strings (one string for each ship) so that it can be pasted into a note. This way, when all sh*t breaks lose, you don't have to minimize eve to look up the info on your target (assuming of course that the person is too lazy to print this stuff out).

Tanking the guns is very subjective and I'm cautious about some of the tank assignments in the file already.

The key for DPS and Tank is on the second page. As I said above the tank ratings are very subjective and including speed tanks would be difficult. My experience is limited to Gallente ships so in some cases I'm guessing or going on fits in Battleclinic. The raw data file now included so you can organize the information differently if you like. I think alphabetically is best for quickness.

That's tough and at some point the amount of information being conveyed would not fit on one sheet of paper. EVE is so rich and complex you could project it on a wall in your house and still not get everything.

Thanks again for the feedback.

I like this sheet. My only recommendation is to make the background colors lighter. When I printed it out, the black text is quite hard to read on the green and especially the blue background for quick reference.

Great work. One correction I saw was that "Loki" was categorized as being Caldari, should be Minmitar Wink

You don't fly Amarr I see. For some reason you have Curse and Zealot listed as armor tanks. Sure they can, but it's not the most common setup for them.

edit - why does hyperion not have H+ and A+? You've given it to the 'baddon. Hypes have 8 guns and a damage bonus, plus an armor rep bonus. You given the gun bonus to the Kronos too, with the same weapons suite.

edit - on 2nd thoughts hype might be borderline for H+. no tracking and plenty hybrid suckness. It should have A+ though when active tanked.

I am also not happy with the color scheme, but I'm limited to the Excel 2003 palette. I should have access to a PC with 2007 next week and will try tweaking the colors then.

I do not fly Amarr, but as a drone user I do like the stats on the Curse. I checked Battleclinic and there were quite a few Shield tank fits. I did not see very many saved for the Zealot so the entry is unchanged.

For the Hyperion, the key on page 2 to should explain the bonuses a bit better. Since most ships have some damage bonus I only called out multiple bonuses to the same weapon.

CCP GM's were awesome enough to unlock the thread.

I've noticed a handful of mistakes and will also be adding the Primae, Utu and Adrestia to the sheets.

Anything anyone else can point out would be greatly appreciated.

Nice job.

-also handy for us vets who have
been away for bit.

I can Mirror and/or provide an alternate
download location for you on my naked
"random stuff" eve sub-domain.

http://eve.soundwash.net/pdf/eve_ship_reference_card/

I put it in a naked folder. -no cookies,
no html, no gimmics, no nothing. Hopefully
those who cannot access the other location
are not firewalled to my location (USA)

link should last at least year.

Kiritsubo: contact me ingame [Ankanos]
to alert me of updates.

Keep up the good work,

-ank

EDIT: If you prefer for whatever
reason, that i take down the link,
mail me ingame.

EDIT #2: -no adverts or banners, -ever!

Fix the spelling you have for the Gallente blaster HAC. It is spelled Diemost.

Also for notes on the Badger put that it can solo a Dramiel.
