when I started with my main char. I didn't know where to go with the training skills. I stated training every book that I could get my hands on not actually knowing what the heck I was doing.

I should've did some research, but I was so eager to start playing immideately.

Then I started leaning towards mining, and in 10 hours, I finally get my covetor.

My questions are, are those uneeded skills detrimental to my char.? Should I deltete my main and start all over again? Or, can I just keep those skills direction of mining?

No need to delete, in EvE you could potentially have all those skills. I have some mining and droning skills on the side in case a mission calls for it.

Yeah no need to worry about it. There's no level cap in Eve so you are good.
