Boris will be missed.
His dedication to helping newbies learn the ins and outs of carebearing has been felt across Eve. I hope the channel will continue to provide support for new players as it has in the past.
The channel has an will continue to be my home as long as it exists.

per boris, fly safe, and be carebearful :)

edit: he's not dead crying, he's just done with Eve

To Boris, a true philantraphist, helper of teh newb, and all round decent chap. C'mon back when you feel that eve urge, because we all know, it never goes away! :)

I haven't been playing EVE long, but once I met Boris I felt that i had met someone whose answers I could trust. EVE will be a poorer place without BorisMad

It's a shame that traps (the really awesome players) deccked a group of guys who aim was to help others in the game for no profit.
Its a real shame that the game dynamics alows corporations like this to take away from people who putted in a positive input in the game.
Its a real pitty that other people's actions dictate other peoples responses in the game, we are a missioncorp but we had to turn our hand to pvp to defend what we like to achieve in the game wich is to help out others.

Btw hmm will keep on going, we still have the same admin group

Shame if it's right.

I suspect that Boris just had too much festive spirit, hooked up with the 26 year old oral hygenist from No 15, and is taking a few days off eve (as a second job) just as we have in RL.

IF you are feeling a bit down with the game Boris, talk to the people in channel, there are many here who like and respect you in game, and will help if we can. There is after all more than one way to skin a cat.

I raise a drink to Boris. I'm only playing a few months and he and HMM have been a great help. It is a shame that someone who gave time to help both noobs and experience players for no personal gain got run out of the game. Real-life rules be damned. Someone like Boris should get looked after.

Thanks to Boris for many things; A great concept in HMM, a great channel as well, excellent podcast-fun and informative, and being an all around great guy. Even my car pooling buddy who doesn't play Eve enjoys listening to Boris from the Missions Collide show! Come back soon m8, you are missed!

Boris will be missed,

I am new to the channel, but I have seen this happen before. Where someone who has a great idea puts it in place, but then get overwhelmed by the baggage that ends up coming with it.

I few things to note,
He never said he wasn't coming back.
He needed a break for a while.
He plans on buying a steering wheel on the 27th.(tomorrow on twitter)

My complaint,
Dammit one more podcast possibly lost.

Good luck Boris hardly knew ya hope to see you soon.

I remember way back when I was only a month old, having hell payed while trying to run a bonus room of an AE L3.... And now 2 years later I am still a faithful member of what we know as HMM - It will just not be the same without Boris popping in to make some funny comment, and ultimately start a convo about our poo (HMM inside joke).

We will miss the Boris!

Boris is a first class capsuleer, and has brought thousands of people together under the banner of the HelpMyMissions chan, who's creedo is purely that of help. He started small helping others with their mission problems and eventually with the help of others built a website and a regular podcast

If your a noob mission runner or even a hardened vet - you will prolly find something useful at those sites.

I really hope he's just taking a break, we all know how demanding Eve can be especially if your dedicated.

Boris you have my deepest respect and thanks.

I really hope we see you again.

Boris you are a stand up guy and a help to anyone who asks for it. Never one to burden everyone else with your problems but always happy to listen to all the problems in HMM. Eve has lost one of its great assets with your departure, and me as a corpmate and as a fellow HMM channel member will definitely miss having you around.
Come back to the light soon friend Very Happy, it just isnt the same without you.

While we praise disgusting missionrunning carebears, Chepe Nolon and his EVE-Survival project should get honourable mention as well.

For those that don't know, BorisHotch is a great guy that started a chat channel in game called HelpMyMission. It is for people that need help with particularly hard missions as well as general sillyness. It's a great place to hang out and the only thing they don't like talked about (understandably) is war deccing and stealing and general pirate asshattery.

He also produced a bi-weekly mission oriented podcast with Song Li (another terrific guy).

I knew about the war dec HMM corp received but I didn't know until today that it had pushed Boris over the edge (I may be wrong here, someone correct me if I am since I haven't had a chance to play in a few days what with the holidays and all). I know a lot of asshats think Eve is just Quake In Space (*sigh*) but to a lot of us it's much more than that. I can fully understand the frustration Boris feels at CCP for allowing such crap to exist. As if there wasn't plenty of room for the PvP'ers to go play in low sec and 0.0 already... To be completely honest I find it sad that so much of humanity use the anonymous nature of the Internet to inflict pain on others for kicks.

Boo CCP for catering to those types! You've really lost a pillar of your community today. If you knew him you would feel nothing but shame.

i knew Boris from the earliest day of this HMM project, and although i was never active within the channel, i have sent quite a few lost carebear souls to that channel.

i was always amazed at his dedication and the amount of work he was willing to do in order to help others.

Boris, good luck to you, mate. i know you will come back. eve is a drug. ;)

He wasn't much of a diplomat I can tell you that much. He was also a prejudiced person, banning me from their help channel without reason. He also let's his corp sit and smack talk in that channel as well, which I guess is why he blocked us.

Not a word from him about the war. Some of his corp convoes me asking to negotiate, the rest sit and convo to smack talk. I like that his corpmates dislike him so much they email all their internal emails, including the one where he says goodbye and leaves them in a lurch. Instead of helping during the war, he logs into his alt to mine in Taru while everyone else dies.

I am not buying the peaceful defenseless mission corp either. Not when his guys are running around in a Curse smacktalking like nobody's business. I've never seen anyone run missions in a Curse. I have an alt that used to run missions. He never needed any HACs to run them.

They had a chance to surrender for a measly 150mil and passed it up and decided that smacktalk would be a better route. According to some of his corpmates, it's not goodbye, it's good riddance.

ah one of the TARP monkies that formed a corp to war dec and blackmail all of Boris's alts - because one of their members got removed for violating the Helpmymission chan rules.

I have just donated 500mil to HMM's war chests.
