Ok, I guess Its my mistake..I wasnt very clear in my explanation.
You guys are missing one thing here and that the knowledge that I was completely and totally unaware this EVE-Radio was a business. As I stated, I didnt put the "EVE-Radio" in the chat options, it was already there. To my understanding of the whole "chat" box thing, it was similar to any other chat. Such as the CAS (Center for Advanced Studies) chat window. Everyone is always talkin about all kinds of things, be it other Corps. or what was for dinner last night.
Up until about, ohh, a month ago maybe, I was in CAS Corp. I started out in CAS when I started to play EVE and until recently, was always in CAS.
Well, there are only 6 of us in that Corp and no one was online. I like to chat whilst scanning and probing systems, its become just one of those things I do when I play. So, I started looking around the different Chat windows that were available, saw EVE-Radio and heard about it thru different forums n stuff, saw there was alot of people who were there, so, ehh, why not, I gave it a try.
After reading several peoples posts about how they liked the song that was playing...well, being a bit tired of EVE ingame music, I wanted to hear what other EVE players were listening too. So I asked for a link.
When I plugged in the link, it went straight to my iTunes program and started playing. I wasnt aware this was some REAL STATION per se, thought it was just a bunch of CD's someone had looped playing in their computer. NO IDEA this was a business FOR REAL, in REAL LIFE
I had ZERO idea there were REAL DJ's that manned this REAL Radio station..I honestly just thought all this was just part of the game, period.
I didnt like what was being played. No problem with what was being played, just wasnt my type of music, which, as some of you have mentioned, you do not like mine either. Nothing wrong with that at all, opinions vary, right. To each his/her own.
Having a regular "chat" minded thinking this EVE-Radio was, I let it be known by saying I didnt want to listen to "no damn F.Sinatra". Just as in any other chat talkin bout different ships...."Ahhh that _____ ship su cks, this ______ ship is much better." Which im sure, all of you who read this can attest to, IS talked about in chat on one level or another. And, most commonly, someone will post what, to THEM is a better ship, so I posted, what TO ME was a better selection of music.
Being offensive isnt what I was trying to do, I was simply just chattin it up. Prior to asking for a link to EVE-Radio, I had NEVER spoken a typed word in that chat room at all.
As for the DJ's. It honestly didnt even click in my head, putting 2 and 2 together never happened at all that some of the people's names had DJ in front of it. I did notice them, but I figured they were in the same family or something, like a husband and wife playing EVE together. Totally didnt click the DJ prefix to their character name was outlining that they were in fact, "DJ's".
This has been a complete and I do mean COMPLETE and TOTAL misunderstanding. Mine, for not knowing what I was getting into and EVE-Radio for not conveying to me what the situation was and instead, just out right giving me the boot.
Now that I am aware of WHAT EVE-Radio is, I completely understand why they would take offense to me posting another link to another radio station. In their eyes, that was very uncool to do and if you guys knew me, you would know that I am all about the karma man. Had I known, I would not have said what I did, I would simply have left that chat and EVE-Radio and just went about my business, but as I said, I was in a conversating mood and just behaved as I might in CAS or my new Corps chat, listening to the station I had found.....Which, btw, odd as it may seem, I would never have found or even though to look in iTunes for the radio station I found. Odd ehh, heh.
So, if I stepped on anyones toes there, I apologize.
