Did you completely get rid of the old drivers? I mean completely with a third party driver cleaner? Have you downloaded the latest drivers? Does your power supply provide enough power? SPECS MAN!!! |

Yeah it was a new format & install of xp. I used the newest catalyst 9.11 drivers first, but had the problem, then then tried 9.9 to no avail.
I also played around with eve settings for graphics, LOD, interleve, primary/secondary screen.
I play in windowed mode, two clients one over the other. |

Clear your caches (unless it's a fresh install of EVE).
If that doesn't work, try improving the cooling over your graphics card. If that doesn't work, there may be an issue with the RAM on the card, and it needs to be swapped out.
I overclock my two 6600GT 128mbs and experience anomalies like that when the cards aren't cooled enough (the gpus have a high tolerance, but the ram chips have no heatsinks and thus need direct air cooling to survive).
If possible, before returning the card, test it out in another system with EVE and see if it does the same; if it does, you can be sure it's the card that's at fault - if it doesn't, then something fishy is going on anywhere between the software or hardware level on your computer (drivers -> motherboard in terms of likelyhood). |

HIS 4670 ICEQ so it's well cooled even on ram. Must be software problem as I jsut tried the card on another computer and runs eve fine under the same conditions (dual clients with same settings). |

Edited by: Darwin''s Market on 28/12/2009 00:34:51 although I was using my secondry monitor for 2 eve clients, I had to set the eve clients to use my primary monitor, even though they are actually on the 2nd....

i'm happy because I also solved my dsl disconnection problem, eve should be a little more bearable now. a phone filter was hooked correctly, but it was still wrong, had to put the filter after the phones, no before, even though it specifically splices into two, one for phone other for dsl.
