Hello, I run two clients at the same time on a 22" with a Radeon 4670, and often experience crashing, the same kind I had when I used a 7600GT.

I run them one over the other in windowed mode.

Can anyone offer some guidance on troubleshooting this?

Can you tell how hot the card is running by looking at the temperature readout, in the catalyst control panel?

Do you by chance have sound enabled on both clients? From my personal experience running multiple eve clients with sound active will cause one or all clients to periodically crash. If sound is only active in one client I would try disabling sound and eve voice on all clients and see how it goes.

it's unlikely it would be tempeture, otherwise the whole system would be likely to lock, not just crash the clients.

when you're running two clients turn off stuff like resource cache (can't remember all the settings or what they're called, no eve infront of me) but basicly you have 2 clients loading up your cache really quickly and you need to minimize that. and, as it was pointed out, sound can be a big issue.
