I am pleased to announce that the winners of this year's Loyalist of the Year Awards will be announced tomorrow (13th December) at an awards ceremony in Amarr's Emperor Family Academy.

As has been previously announced, this year's awards include the Loyal Servant of the Year and the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year. We will also be presenting a third award, the nature of which will be revealed on the night.

The ceremony will commence at 19:00 Eve Standard Time and will be broadcast live in the Loyalist of the Year channel.

All those non-hostile to the Empire are very welcome to attend.

I am looking forward to this years award ceremony. The decisions were difficult and all the finalists are worthy of praise for their efforts.

Before we name this year's Loyal Servant and the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year, it is time for the PIE Directorate to recognise the hard work of the corporation.

A couple of weeks ago, we asked the membership of PIE to send us the names of those officers who they thought had done the most to uphold the values of the Empire and advance the aims of the corporation over the past year.

The purpose was to provide us with information that we could then use in deciding the recipient of a new award - that of PIE Officer of the Year.

We received a number of responses, and we set about our deliberations.

Things weren't clear-cut though, and the decision was not an easy one.

However, the debate did reach a conclusion, and the winner is an officer who has not only been extremely active on the front lines but has also inspired her fellow pilots.

In the words of one PIE officer:

Her commitment and dedication to the defence of the Empire has been an inspiration to me personally, as well as many others, I have no doubt.

Her leadership is at a level and confidence where I would gladly and willingly follow her into any situation, without hesitation.

And so it is with great pleasure that I announce that the PIE Officer of the Year for 111 and the recipient of a number of Amarr Navy Slicers is:

Mitara Newelle

As I said, our decision was not an easy one.

But there is one other PIE officer who deserves recognition for their hard work over the last year, particulary for their efforts in small gang and solo warfare, both in and out of complexes, in the conflict with the Shakorites.

They have also received numerous plaudits from outside of PIE. And so we decided to present that officer with an Amarr Navy Slicer.

That officer is Veshta Yoshida

My sincere congratulations go to both Mitara and Veshta

And now, we come to the award for the Loyal Servant of the Year.

Nominations for this year's award were submitted by members of the wider capsuleer community, and the PIE Directorate took those names and produced from them a shortlist of the most worthy pilots. The wider PIE membership then used the shortlist to determine an eventual winner.

In addition to being known as the Loyal Servant of 111, the winner will receive a Navy Issue Omen class cruiser.

Four pilots made up up this year's list:

  • CVA executor Lonewolfnight for his role in administering the Amarrian colonies in Providence;

  • Lost InCogneto of Amarrian Retribution for his efforts in combating the Minmatar menace in both the Empire and the Republic;

  • Lupus Aurelius of Legio V Fidelus for his work in facilitating the expansion of Amarrian influence in Providence;

  • And last year's winner, Nephilim Xeno of the 24th Imperial Crusade, for continuing the work for which he has previously been recognised.

All four of the pilots have in their own way shown that non-Amarrians can further the aims of the Empire, and should be proud of their place on the list. However, the pilot that has consistently shown excellence in his service to the Empire, and the winner of this year's Loyal Servant of the Year Award is:

Finally, we come to the award for the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year.

This year's winner receives a Navy Issue Apocalypse class battleship in recognition of their service.

As with the Loyal Servant award, a shortlist was produced from names supplied by the wider community of pod pilots, and the PIE membership then went on to decide upon the winner. And so, without futher ado, the shortlisted nominees for this year's award are:

  • Battlestar Crusader of Absinthe Brothers for his successful leadiership of fleets against the Tribal Liberation Force;

  • 1st Praetorian Guard CEO Gangleri for his continuing contribution to the cause of Amarrian loyalism;

  • Grr of Epitoth Guard and the Curatores Veritatis Alliance for her dedication in working towards unity and co-operation between different branches of Amarrian loyalism;

  • And Tobias Primus of Innominate Magistarium for demonstrating that dignity and hard work are still worthwhile values that can lead to success.

These pilots between represent all that it best about Amarr.

With people like them around, I am confident that the interests of the Empire are well-served - be it on the front line fighting against the Shakorites or in the defence of the Amarrian colonies in Providence.

And so, it is with great pleasure that I announce that the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year for 111 is:

Thank you all and thank you PIE Inc for your faith in me for this award.

I honestly do not feel I have done enough for the Empire this past year and this is a great surprise to me, I had not even prepared an acceptance speech for the ceremony. I really think this must have been a difficult decision with such dedicated fellow nominees such as Gangleri and BattleStar Crusader and they deserve to stand alongside me today as “winners”

To the loyal servant of the year Lost InCogneto I offer my congratulations. Please keep up the great work you do and the rewards will be great.

Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris for hosting the ceremony I thank you but as I did earlier, I humbly request that next year’s award might include the chance for PIE loyalists to stand. Among PIE are some of the finest Amarr loyalists in the Empire. While the working for the Empire is of course reward enough for us all, they deserve to be recognised the same as me or anybody else.

I would like to thank all and PIE for selecting me to be worthy for the award.

Congratulations to Grr on the award for the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year.

I feel that as one pilot it is a award that should be shared to all that I have flown with. Amarr's strength is its pilots ability to fly together and support each other. Also I thank all our allies supporting the Amarr Empire.

To list all the supporters and pilots I have flown with whould take alot of pages, but you know who you are and I salute you all for it o7.

Amarrian Retribution continues to support the Amarr Empire and those that are loyal to it.

Congratulations to Lost Incogneto and Admiral Grr, you are both deserving of this recognition for your efforts in serving God and the Empire.

For myself, I am shocked and humbled. To even be mentioned in the same class as my Sister, Captain Yoshida, is truly an honor. My heartfelt thanks to my fellow Praetorian. God bless you all.

Lost InCogneto, you have my most sincere and deepest congratulations. You are a man that has earned such a merit, and I'm sure you will continue in your strive with honor and valor, making such a merit only one step into a long path of victories.

To my friend Lady Grr, what can be say? You have earned this merit since the first day I met you, and have never faltered, doubted or stepped back. Very few in the Amarrian bloodlines could claim such an impressive record as yours. You trully are the epitome of what it is to be a True Amarr. Congratulations!

To both, I apologize for not being able to attend personally the ceremony, but these are busy days and I have very little free time for things of pleasure such as these. I truly apologize.

Congratulations Lost!

Your dedication both to the Amarrian Retribution corp. and the Empire have been both stoic and noble.

And congratulations to the other pilots, all very well deserving of these honors!

May the empire's light shine strong throughout the ages!
