(1) Ebank at 1.3 trillion ISK is the most successful heist ever.

(2) Scams are perfectly allowed, CCP will do nothing to get your ISK back.

(3) Next time ask for collateral before making a loan to anyone. And yes, your ISK to EBank was a loan. They decided to keep it.

The current board of ebank are a bunch of incompetent thieves. CCP needs to sieze the assets of all current and past board members, sell all of them, and distribute the cash to account holders.

The sad ongoing saga of ebank is a stain on the game and will continue to be bad pr until it is forcibly closed down by CCP for good.

I take back what I said about the OP being a communist. CCP DO need to take over Ebank. Am I right in thinking that the majority of Ebank holdings were not stolen by Ricdic but are about to be stolen instead by the current regime? And that said regime is trying to turn the bank into some kind of offensive intelligence agency?

Dude, your ISK is GONE. Get that through your head right now. GONE. It was GONE the moment you clicked OK on the ISK donation box. In return, you got an unenforcable promise that someone would donate ISK to you later. The people that made that promise are GONE too. The people running ebank now didn't take your money, and they didn't make any promises to you.

I don't know how much you lost or what that amount means to you, but your ranting and raving in every ******* thread in MD has gone from "angry" to "needs his meds adjusted" in a disturbingly short time.

lmao Very Happy I haven't actually got a single isk in ebank, I just find the arguments around the subject interesting - I'm also new so not yet cynical. I'm not actually angry in any way Wink Also I had the day off work - too much time to kill Rolling Eyes

Would have been much funnier though if I could have posted a melodramatic "e-bank ruined my life I'm gonna kill all you mothers..." type rant on here Very Happy

So...you have absolutely no relation/interest/investment with EBank? Then what are you doing in every thread?

I think that you should have a mechanism where you can set portions of isk aside in a seperate bank account (second wallet ? ) so you can't accidently spend it with a few bad clicks or faulty eyesight if you're tired or being rushed by outside factors . It just doesn't make sense that you could spend 4 billion when you meant to spend 4 million but even leaving that mess up factor in the game, itf a player had a tool they could use to recue that risk by their own isk management that would be great and sensible.

Like... spending like 1M and setup a personal corp with not one, not two, but *several* nicely organized wallets with nicely logged transactions?

EBank are perfectly able to recover if they want.
The published numbers match perfectly to what I calculated some months ago as minimum to have the critical mass to eventually begin
the compounding interests self sustaining process to bring them back.

It's probable that they actually want to recover, because they got a sort of fixation in doing so.
Don't underestimate what a spirit of revenge can achieve, they want to prove something to the outer, now laughing world.

Now, of course, that won't happen without casualties, and depositors are the first candidate at being one.

They don't want to recover the bank to give them back their money (otherwise their attitude would be more humble and they'd also offer pregress interests and would not try to find any shortcut to "legally" flag and exclude depositors off reimbursement), but to prove that they are so good that they can recover depositors money.
It's not a selfless act of recover but a personal revenge to tell everyone that they could do "the impossible" after all.

To fall and recover. To restore the one bank able to survive all of those big incidents and crimes.
To restore their own feeling of pride and why not... superiority YARRRR!!

Edit: the only one I'd exclude off this is Athre. She's relentlessy at the service of others, took humble menial tasks when others were grand shiny generals.
She's the one person deserving that the bank gets saved to please her silent, under the hood but many efforts.

Just pocking my head in, to see if the failout has been approved for the eBank, wait, is it a bailout or failout? Anyway, just checking.

Confirming that EBANK is getting bailed out. However, in order to fund this, every transaction in-game from now on will be subject to a 5% fee in order to not have run-away monetary inflation.

(Oh boy, wouldn't that be great? Heh)

Dear OP,

Please keep in mind that CCP already has a good portion of EBANK Assets that were confiscated along with the ill gotten RMT Ricdic did.

In other words EBANK would not be so far in the hole if CCP handed over all Ricdic assets unrelated to the wrong doing.

You kidding? any EBank director recieving anything from CCP would pocket the goods and tell everyone to f&^% @%f.

It would have made no difference then, and with the current people involved with EBank, it would make no difference now if CCP returned EVERYTHING to EBank.

I would quit EVE if they do it.

We were thrown to this cold galaxy, and we should grow up without external interventions.

Why should EBANK customers be more privilegiated than those who have fallen in other scams???

Oh, and most people already know e-bank is kaput, we just witnessing death trashing, and gurgling, just seems to be going on for too long.

Im sorry, you must mean Bushnomics... Afterall it was he who pushed for the TARP program and forked over $80+ billion to AIG, $13 billion to GM and billions more to any number of other financial entities months before he left office. But I guess you forgot about that already.

What do xenophobic, frightful sods, raffish criminal masterminds, and EBank have in common? If you answered, "They all make vapid, bitter knee-biters out to be something they're not," then pat yourself on the back. Without going into all the gory details, let's just say that I have traveled the length and breadth of this universe and talked with the best people. I can therefore assure you that if we don't remove the EBank threat now, it will bite us in our backside before you know it. EBank claims that it has achieved sainthood. I, however, claim that that's a load of crud. Yes, its few successes exhibit no tendency to be commensurate with innate capacity, but I plan to give our propaganda fighters an instrument that is very much needed at this time. This is a choice I have made; your choice is up to you. But let me remind you that some people have indicated that simplism is the leitmotif of EBank's reportages. I can neither confirm nor deny that statement, but I can say that if EBank doesn't realize that it's generally considered bad style to defile the present and destroy the future, then it should read one of the many self-help books on the subject. I recommend it buy one with big print and lots of pictures. Maybe then EBank will grasp the concept that life isn't fair. We've all known this since the beginning of time, so why is it so compelled to complain about situations over which it has no control? You know the answer, don't you? You probably also know that I try never to argue with it because it's clear it's not susceptible to reason.

What if we collectively just told EBank's yes-men, "Sure, go ahead and make a cause célèbre out of its campaign to condition the public—or, more precisely, brainwash the public—into believing that we should be grateful for the precious freedom to be robbed and kicked in the face by such a noble creature as it. Have fun!"? That would be worse than covinous; it would ruin my entire day.

Even when EBank isn't lying, it's using facts, emphasizing facts, bearing down on facts, sliding off facts, quietly ignoring facts, and, above all, interpreting facts in a way that will enable it to doctor evidence and classification systems and make obtrusive generalizations to support frowzy, preconceived views. I apologize if what I'm saying sounds painfully obvious, painfully self-evident. However, it is so extremely important that I must undeniably say it. To most people, the list of EBank's abominable communications reads like a comic strip but its apologues are actually taken seriously by its apologists. As I remove the veil of ignorance I have lived behind, I find that it's easy to tell if EBank is lying. If its lips are moving, it's lying. One last thing: By following EBank's suggestions, we have become such poor caretakers of the tree of liberty that it has wilted and is sagging dangerously close to the ground.

Dear Athre,

you should tell the BoD to post less and have you post more.

What you have done in the past, you have done well enough so that you are not in the same "soup" of the rest of the BoD, and thus you won't be flamed as much.

Moreover you have considerable tact and a writing style that helps people look at EBANK in a more favorable way than when reading someone BoD else's replies.

While we're taking over banks, miners need a bail out. I think CCP should start buying all materials for 50% over their value and then sell it back at value. Then they can just arrest (ban) anyone who tries to buck the system. We should also introduce a tiered tax system on NPC corps so the rich pay their fair share and start taxing player corps because we all know corps get away without paying taxes. We should also add a sin tax to tobacco in game. These taxes will go to build more roads and schools.

Oh, I do.

She got a spine and yet she can act in a way to inspire trust in hard work.

It's why her word, and not any accounting or announcements ever posted that can convince me that EBANK could make it.
If she keeps wanting it, it'll keep being possible.

The sad ongoing saga of ebank is a stain on the game and will continue to be bad pr until it is forcibly closed down by CCP for good.

EVE is a capitalist game, isn't it? If a business is bad, it'll fail and cave in. If you know it's -that- bad, just boycott it either corp-wide of by yourself. Surely there are other 'banks' in EVE, right? Like your ISK card?

Everyone recognizes that EBank is a vital part of EVE economy and as such is must not be allowed to become bankrupt. The ripple effects will be far too great to safely contain and would affect all sectors of eve economy.

Therefore I propose we start a petition for CCP to provide bailout loan to Ebank in the sum of 500B. This would allow the bank to pay off the creditors and resume normal operations. THis, in turn, would also provide a boost to overall EVE economy and raise productivity levels.

To obtain funding for such a monumental task CCP should introduce a 25% tax for all NPC corporations, according to my highly accurate data it would take approximately 5 month to gather the the funds...Cool
