Perhaps the devs decided to stay far away from the idea of speed tank + non-turret weapons. Or maybe it's just that mimnatar already have ships that use missiles and shield tank? Which leaves... rails + speed tank or? I dunno, what would a minmatar / caldari hybrid faction use?

I thought it was just because Minmatar and Caldari/Amarr are enemies so they never made a joint effort ship. Wasn't the original description of the Dramiel that it was a Gallente/Minmatar Ambassador vessel or something?

experiments to build a Minmatar/Caldari ship have all failed miserably - duct tape doesn't stick too well on assymetric ships.

Sorry, no. The Minnies/Amarr already have a ship line... the blooders.

The blooder ships make no sense at all RP wise. And there is nothing about them that is Minnie at all.

Currently Gallente and Minnies get 3 pirate factions each.

Amarr and Caldari only get 2. What we really need is another Amarr/Caldari ship line. Just reverse the the Sanshas designs and give us armor tanking missile ships.

Which everyone will say suck and which will eventually become shield tanking laser ships with a double damage effect.

That is after all what the Sansha ships were prior to Sansha MkII.

There are amarr / caldari faction ships already, and they are awesome. Look up EoM. Unfortunately we can't fly them and the devs won't add them as blueprint or whatever because... just because.

A good way to visualize faction relationships is to imagine a square, with the bottom left corner being amarr, top left caldari, top right gallente, and last one minmatar

The factions connected by a horizontal lines are 'racial enemies' factions connected by vertical lines are , in a way, 'allies'. The factions on the diagonal don't have an open war/alliance link

CCP would only make faction ships with traits combining factions connected by horizontal or vertical lines. I don't think that a Caldari/Minmatar , or Gallente/Amarr faction can exist RP wise. But since when did ccp care about that? It could happen...

The real question is why there are 2 factions with gallente/minmatar link, now that is whats unfair.....although I have to admit the bonuses fit in pretty well.

If more factions were added, we could have a second faction for each of the 3 remaining sides of the square, we would need another cal/amarr ( missile/armor) gal/caldari (hybrid/shield, but one that is not inferior) and minmatar/amarr (autocannon somehting, out of ideas on this one)

BTW someone asked earlier about minmatar traits in Blood Raiders, well that would be web bonuses and, at least in the old models, orange engine trails Laughing ( old minmatr have them). But yeah, thats about it

You mean shield tanking Amarr ships with Railguns as primary weps? Oh yeah I really want that...

They still drop lasers and plates though, which is pretty funny.

50m3 bay, 25m3 bandwidth (like CCP said, they would increase bays for ships but keep bandwidth at old bay size :( :)

Special Ability: +50% ECM Jammer Strength

Caldari Cruiser Skill Bonus: +10% projectile turret optimal and falloff per level.
Minmatar Cruiser Skill Bonus: +7.5% projectile turret rate of fire per level.
