Honestly just kill your food. I wont go into how disgusting that has to be but have some compassion and put the thing you are about to eat out of its misery before you stab it with your teeth and put it in an acid bath. |

Live octopus is a little disturbing for some, but in all honesty it is VERY good. the main comparison between live octopus and even the freshly killed one is that live octopus is much much more tender. its a strange thing, but it is quite good.
plus when you take it on a dare, you get to see your friends freak out when you ask for seconds. |

I'm fully convinced about the tenderness as I know how untender cooked squid can be. It's the eating a sentient being alive that really puts me off. I would definitively not have that problem with bugs and such though. |

I know for fact that certain bugs are very tasty and you would not kill them before eating them either. You would eat them right when you found them. I mean who knows at this point. Maybe octopus excrete a chemical that accelerates certain physiological process in the human body if their lives are threatened. We already know that they excrete ink for escape purposes.
