Hi.

I've posted a ton of music threads, here's another: When I feel like crap, I listen to music that makes me feel worse (because the night is darkest before dawn) so that way I can listen to something perky or w/e after four hours and feel better.

Stuff like this:
Think Twice

or something like that. No death metal or anything this time, lol. Alternative rock, punk, screamo are good. The themes are romance and angst.

Any recommendations?

Lost Prophets - 4 A.M. Forever

Sick Puppies - All the same

Feel better mate.

David Castaneda - I'm Stupid (don't worry about me)

^^ My Favorite, I like the original more I think, but sadly that isn't on youtube, by Prime STH.

Walter reed

Mad world

How to save a life

Lose you

No death metal? Incredibly limiting however I recommend most anything from the lost prophets.

Black Label Society - In This River

Disturbed - Darkness

Cold - Stupid Girl

Cold - Bleed

Cold - Its All Good

Seether - 69 Tea

Godsmack - Serenity

Nickelback - How You Remind Me

Nickelback - If Everyone Cared

Audio quality on youtube sucks, but you get the gist.

edit: a song that puts me in a good mood no matter what for some reason... Sublime - What I Got

edit again: Now that I'm lurking youtube for music, here's a good song I heard on the radio at work the other day. Thank google-fu for me finding it, because it came out before my mother was even born. Zager and Evans - In The Year 2525

I'm currently listening to a used LostProphets CD I found in a store. I put it in the CD player in my car, and was liking it, until I heard a song I remember from a few years ago:

"Last Train Home"

This was such a good song when it came out a few years ago..I remember listening to this song on the radio when my friends and I rode our skateboards all over the neighborhood.

Any other suggestions?

these are what i listen to when i'm slightly down.

Regina Spektor - The Call

Kim Richey - A Place Called Home

normally the singers voices in those songs would drive me nuts but strangely when i'm low they are quite good

I hate to sound like a jerk, but a lot of the songs posted kinda missed the point of the OP Laughing

That said, I gave most of these a listen and found a couple good bands, and new songs from bands I already knew (Sick Puppies, and now I listen to Lostprophets) which, in the end, resulted in my discovery of a song that was from my happier days (Last Train Home by Lostprophets came out when I was having the time of my life in high school, never knew the name of the song till a few days ago)

Feist - I Feel it All
Pizzicato Five - Baby Love Child Just listen to any of their stuff its all rather happy happy.
Ilona Mitrecey - Un Monde Parfait Part two of that :P
Daft Punk - around the World
Idan Raichel Project - Bo'i
Good Luck at the Gun Fight - Blood Red Blood
Emilie Simon - Swimming (I couldnt find the version I really wanted :( )
The Pixies \o/ - Gigantic
9mm Parabellum Bullet - Supernova<-- not as raw and good as their live stuff but that was the first time I've seen that messed up vid.Smile
LCD Soundsystem - New York I love You

I swear I started with a firm intention in mind but it devolved into stuff I like... Here's a happy video to make up for it!

Edit: Yeah, but I liked the thread direction so I went with it. :p
Edit2: Here try this guy Xiu Xiu - Save me All his stuff is basically as close to suicide that you can get in musical form. It's great and depressing as ****. Enjoy :P

Also the best band ever. Dark kind of music but it all makes me feel good so I dont know if it counts

I think that guy played EVE or one of his friends did. It was a thread here I believe, but my EVE search Fu is lacking.

You Know My Name: Chris Cornell. (Bond theme but utter badass all the way through.)

The Prague Philharmonic's version of several major themes three in my current MP3 pick me up folder are Jurassic Park Phantom Menace and St. Petersburg.

Now you're probably wondering why i recommend movie soundtracks. The fact is these songs invoke memories good ones. Bond in St. Petersburg is one of my all time favorite moments. (That tank through the wall was utterly epic)
