As I continue trading I see that there are no limits at all. Having returned the isk for my previous auction found here, I have decided to make another auction. This time for 9 billion isk.

Same rules as last auction; interest will be payed every two months, will keep the loan for at least a year but may honour individual withdrawals with advance notice but will only pay interest for entire months, I am not offering security, I will not divulge my trading methods, no api and no one is required to vouch for me, loan is to me and my reputation, don't send the isk until the auction is over.

Risk include me running away with your isk, getting hit by a bus, and the earth swallowing up my house with me in it. You can decide if it is worth your risk.

Ask your questions here so we can discuss the issues publicly.

Interest starts at 10% and you bid an amount of shares and the interest rate you want going down in the process. Minimum bid increment is half a percent. I will have this thread open up to eight days. I reserve the right to end it earlier and then counting from the last posts I will add up 9 billion and the highest rate is what everyone gets. I reserve the right to call off the auction.

This guy was actually bragging about scamming some plexes off people through contracts in SCC. Would steer clear.

Having said that, his previous loan was paid off successfully, and he managed to accommodate my request for an early repayment.

Even if tricky contracts were scamming, you would have to be deficient in both the left and the right hemisphere to not detect the humor in the conversation and the seriousness level.

Just a pretentious jerk. Sadly, no mission from god - or any other deities for that matter. Sad

@OP: Is placing a raven in a contract and saying it's a navy raven a scam? Gotta say, I think it is. What you did amounts to the same.

I think if you start overanalyzing it, you're going to end up with some sort of communist model where buying low and selling high is a scam. Let's just face it - we've all taken the opportunity to make a little extra ISk at the expense of someone else at one time or another, and so have our victims, and their victims, and their victims were us when we first started the game, or maybe even recently. It's the circle of life! <3

Edit: This is not to say that I'm a fan of running away with someone's 250bil or such. But as I've pointed out in a similar discussion about scamming in the past - there's a difference between making a mistake and getting scammed. The latter OFTEN involves a bit of social engineering, the former OFTEN involves a mis- click/read. But at the end of the day, you simply CAN'T get scammed without DOING something. Be it click a contract, send money, or accept a trade.

There is a big difference between buying trit for 0.5 p/u when the seller knows for sure both the price and the mineraltype or making something look what it is not purely with the intention of hoping someone does NOt know/see what he is buying/selling.

I agree, flakeys. But how about if I chose a specific item in a specific region, bought up all the stock and relisted for 5 times what I bought it for? Am I then scamming my customers by keeping the "true" or former price "hidden" off the market?

There will always be a lot of grey area when you're dealing in the domain of the moral police!

As long as you state clearly what it is then no it is not scamming. If you enlist a raven for a navy raven you are trying to make people believe they are buying something wich they are not.If you are selling what people think it is then i don't call it scamming.
I have sold covetor bpo's unreasearched for 2.6 bille at times.People bought them because they did not want to take the risk of getting it in 0.0 . They knew i was overpricing but they got what they wanted.

As flakeys said, setting up bad deals is one thing, deliberately misrepresenting the truth is another. He said
'I wrote buying 10 plex for 40 bil(sic)' - shortly after he said
'But the contract was 1 for 40mil(sic)'. I class that as deliberately misrepresenting the truth, hence a scam.
