So, I started the epic mission arc and an agent wants me to transport something to nullsec. Being a solo carebear I've never been to nullsec before and don't particularly want to go, but you can't get any further in the arc without completing that mission so I kinda have no choice.

I was thinking of throwing a cloak and a few speed/warp distance optimisation modules and/or rigs on a Buzzard, then going through the standard nullsec checklist:

- ensure clone is up-to-date
- swap into a jumpclone without implants
- don't use the autopilot
- use the world map to check for and avoid systems with recent ship- and/or podkills (if possible)
- get an alt to scout out gatecamps/bubbles

Anything I've missed? Any other advice?

Make sure buzzard got an mwd and you wont need a scout.
Dont warp directly to outgoing gate, warp to a planet nearby and use the directional scanner to look for bubbles and dictors.(If there is people in the system)
Once your past chokepoint, it should be pretty easy since few will bother hunting a covop.

Put your mission completion system as your destination, then peruse map. Check each lo-sec and 0.0 system along the way for pilots in system within the last 30 min, ship kills in the last hour, and pod kills in the last hour.

I ran it about 2200 hrs mountain daylight time, which would be 0400 Eve time, on a weeknight (Wed or Thurs I think). The systems were more or less empty, no bubbles, no gatecampers. Its about 4-5 jumps from hi-sec. Once in the system, right click the mission destination in your mission briefing, then click "warp to....". The place to put the mission objective shows up as a cargo container diamond, about 35km from the warp in point.

Your covops should be fine, I ran it in a Executioner with a prototype cloak. Once I realized how sparsely the systems were populated, I just went for it and jumped quickly thru each system. Dump the mission objective, and GTFO the same way you came in.

Good luck.

You don't actually need to go into nullsec. As a matter of fact, the best thing to do is to take the option to sell out info to hyosada corp. This will get you the best mission reward at the end of the arc.

I chose this route and still ended up having to do the lowsec/nullsec mission.

Oh yeah, forgot that you still get that mission after turning the stuff over to hyosyoda. Embarassed
