Is there a website or forum for RvB?
I'm moving some resources into place to join in; I'd like to get some PvP experience and this seems like the best way to start out :)
I'm also interested in whether there are neutral corps providing logistical support to RvB?
For example, I have an Orca. Perhaps theres a possibility of loading the hangar up with PvP-fitted t1 frigates, taking it to frigate fights and providing fresh frigates for people to continue the fight, providing this service impartially to both Red and Blue.

I've not been playing much for weeks but last time I looked there were suppliers to the HQ's and I know some good people in the corps brought a lot of stuff in too. A few days ago it was remarked the market there was very active. So if you brought in T1 frigs and basic mods/ammo you should have no problem selling them. Look on the website though and ask in the R-V-B channel, others may be able to give you better info. EDIT: Be warned though, if your in red or blue even industrials are valid targets. At any given time there are often third party wardecs going on too. |

There is actually a pretty decent market developing in both Tourier and Alentene for the type of stuff we use. |

I agree. I haven't taken the plunge yet, but it seems like the best environment for me to learn pvp :) My plan at this stage is to join both red and blue, one after the other. Learn how you guys operate, what kinds of fittings you like, what works. Then to use that knowledge to stock my Orca with appropriately fitted frigates of various types and sell them at the site of battle. Assuming pilots don't get podded they could just buy a frigate off of me, I'd eject it from the hangar, they can board it and fly away and carry on the fight! How does this sound? |

The war is still very alive with many hundreds of ships dieing each week.
Also I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Wraithstorm as he is the knew leader of project RvB. In his first week he's proven very capable at organising the troops and I'm sure that will continue.
RvB was never about me leading it all the time, I wanted it to be a project run by eve players that would always continue with the current leader carrying on for as long as they wish before identifying a suitable replacement. |

Yesterday Sunday 13 December saw two of the biggest fights I have witnessed in RvB since I joined 6 weeks ago. The first one took place in Tourier off the Alenia gate and went on for absolute ages allowing people to pod run back to their HQs jump in a new ship and rejoin the battle. In this Red had an advantage as their HQ was in Tourier. I personally lost 2 Stabbers in that battle and just missed out getting a third into the same battle. The end result was a marginal win for the Reds and they held the field briefly allowing them to loot and run just before a reformed Blue fleet jumped in for another round. Here is the KB summery of the battle
http://bluerep.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=5163225
The second battle occurred within about an hour in the Alenia system smack bang between the two HQs (Tourier and Alentene). Again people were pod running back to their HQs for new ships and rejoining only this time no side had the advantage and victory finally went to the Blues. Personally, I lost another Stabber in that battle, my forth of the day, but there is nothing sweeter than to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women! Here is the KB summery of that epic battle

...so tired...85 Rifters, 5 Thrashers, 10 Stabbers, 1 Rupture and a load of noobships all lost in the last 6 weeks. I was only born on the 1st of October, I am too young for this level of horror. |

85 Rifterslol Maj, you got me beat. Major Trant typifies what's good about RvB..He will jump into a fight outnumbered to help out his corpies, AND he's does a good job as FC also. Things you need/need to know for RvB: 1. You are gonna lose ships, get used to it. Leave your shiny T2/Faction shiny's at home, unless you are ready to lose em fast. (Trust me, I learned that the hard way ) 2. If you have been running lvl2 or 3 missions in Cruisers/BC's this is a whole new ballgame folks. You haven't seen DPS put on you till you get primaried by the other fleet...T2 cruisers just melt. 3. I see lots of new guys join up, just hop in their favorite BC, cruiser, T2 frig and wander off on their own and DIE...quickly. We usually have fleets up, just use the fancy new fleet finder and join up. A mic is nice, but at least join voice so you can hear the FC and others. Team work is the name of the game 4. If you join a fleet and have to go AFK for more than a couple of minutes LEAVE the freakin fleet please, you can always come back. 5. There's decent market in the AO, but it wouldn't hurt to bring a few of your fav ships, which should be your racial frig of choice if you are new. If you are new to PvP and bring fitted ships, trust me your favorite fitting is gonna change fast. Anyway, I have been there a month, and it's certainly the most fun I have ever had in Eve. We now have a NO Podding rule also. If you are new, do yourself a favor and just learn to fly frigates, then move up. It'll save you alot of isk and you will learn ALOT. |

Edited by: Borun Tal on 14/12/2009 20:53:15Considering moving an alt out there and joining up (main can't enter Gallente space ), but a couple quick questions: 1) Noticed the RvB board post that said no podding, but others talking about podding regularly. Is that a "try not to" rule or not worth following: 2) Also, does the "no ECM" rule apply to webbers and painters? Saw a post on the board, but no specific answer? 3) If I run across an opponent on his own, can I engage? I know the war rules, but is it considered "bad form" if it's not a fleet/gang fight? Thanks! |

1. Podding used to be 'frowned on' but as with all things in EVE that was sometimes exploited. So now it's no podding. The rules are recent and posted here RvB Forums2. ECM applies to Target Disrupters and Jammers but someone else can hopefully confirm that. 3. Yes certainly and its fine if you just want to go solo hunting or in small packs. Players new to being an FC are also encouraged to give it a try. Station camping has its own rule where by anyone doing it CAN be subject to any reprisal, even ECM and ganking (camping could get lame) I've not been active in RvB PVP for a couple of months (limited play time for a while) and I'm just a pleb, so please take my answers with that in mind. The rules are only for Red v Blue. Against third parties anything goes. |

1. The NO Podding is a solid rule. No exceptions. 2. "No ECM Modules" So it only applies to ECM. Blackbirds/Griffins are allowed, provided you dont put ECM on them. Target Disruptors, Sensor Damps, Target Painters, Webbers, Scrams, any other type of EWAR is allowed. ECM Drones are allowed. (for now) 3. You can solo PVP and gank people to your hearts content. There are no rules against solo PVP. You can even ask for official 1v1s if you like. All RvB pilots are required to honor 1v1s(at planets or safespots), or you get kicked. |

How can they enforce rules on outside corps? Aside from bringing hundreds of vengeful, kill-crazy maniacs who care nothing for what they lose as long as they sate their lust for vengence on your crunchy frozen corpse, that is. |

Unfortunately no. We have no control of outside entities, and a few of our brave pilots have been podded by 3rd party WT's. They dust off their shoulders, hop into another clone and ship and go at it again though. RVB is still going strong with plenty of spontanious fleet action, numerous 1v1's, and a good mix of planned joint operations to 0.0 or low sec. We even have tournaments such as our very popular frigate FFA. Join in on the action today! |

The no podding rule applies internally, Red and Blue do not pod each other. 3rd Party War Targets do not respect that rule and we reply in kind to them. The same applies during low and null sec roams. Members are therefore encouraged to assume that the risk is always present and take action to preserve their pod and implant investments.
1. Pod Saver overview 2. GTFO spamming when in structure 3. Local medical clone. 4. Use PvP Clone 5. Keep your clone upgraded. 6. Pod Upgrade Skill maxed out (+15% to pod Shield, Armor and Structure resists per level) |
