I am using an all tech2 fitted Destroyer

Id like to know what i should be able to solo, what i can do in a fleet, and what fights I should just avoid in low or 0.0 sec.

exp:

1: Small group of noobish friends want to team up and kill me with their poorly fitted frigates. (3-7)

2: One or two Tech2 frigates attack me, can i win?

3: Some moron in a BS comes at me that is a noob and has bad fit but out stats me.

4: Can i kill an interceptor in less than 3 seconds to avoid his party?

If you have any other things i should know besides these plz post

It really depends what you are flying vs what you are killing. For destroyers my favorite is the Coercer simply because it can run a MWD controlling range and hit at 17km with Pulse lasers and scorch. (no rigs)

Draw back, is it only had one mid and can't fit a warp jammer if you opt for a MWD. On the flip side the Thrasher has better mid slots and can also hit at the same range using 200mm's and barrage but can still fit the warp jam but no MWD. It needs to use a AB.

Then you have the 150mm Rail fit catalyst when using tracking upgrades in the lows and a tracking computer can lay waste to pretty much any ceptor. However once again no warp jammer if you are using the tracking computer/sensor booster option for range and no speed mods.

There are just far too many different set ups that work very well for specific fights..Then add in the options of new rigs and it can really change things up.

I haven't really tested any of them with the new cheap rigs, but I'm thinking a Shield tanked Thrasher with 2 shield rigs and one fall off rig. Then use 150mm's loaded with barrage with a DCUII and a tracking enhancer in the lows.. might be a win.

You might be able to fit a MWD using the 150's but not sure as I haven't tried a test fit.

A typical Destroyer can lay waste to two or three T1 frigs in a fight assuming you know how to fly and have it set up right.

you wont last very long even if you make it through the entry point they usually let you get by there. mostly it's a blocking exit point into empire where bubbles don't exist. your only chance of survival if you belong or join a dominant alliance in the area you go to. good luck. you're gonna need it.

The most important thing you should know is that it's a game, and it's supposed to be fun. Looks like everyone is either a noob or a moron or both in your book.

Of course, everyone knows that only a noobish moron would choose to PvP in a destroyer, right?

Even though destroyers aren't generally thought to be very good PvP ships, a very skilled and experienced pilot against far less experienced and skilled opponents could out on top in just about all of the scenarios you name. That's just the way Eve is.

You're going to have to get out there and lose a bunch of ships, and get that experience and more importantly figure out what works for you. You'll have more fun along the way if you cut the name calling and just have fun. I'd hate to see you back here in a month whinning about how everyone in eve is not only a noob and a moron, but obviously hacks too since you can't seem to beat anyone in your destroyer.

Good luck.

The Thrasher is a great PVP Ship in my Opinion. Not for Solo PVP, but for small Gangs.
Fit 7x 200mm Tech2 Autocannon, 1 Standard-Missile Launcher in the highs, a 1MN MWD, a Medium Shield Extender plus a Warpscram or - disrupter in the mids and 1 DMC II and a Gyrostab II in the lows. Use 2 Anti-EM Shield Rigs and a Projectile Weapon Rig and u should be fine Razz
