After all the warnings we got from the cora leadership about how good KIA are and how we shouldn't attack them it seems we are all feeling those words right now.

TRI tried to reclaim its once well known and fearful reputation for PVP by taking on KIA - one of the most organized and of the highest standards in the game when it comes to PVP.

During my high involvement i feel i need to state that all of TRI will be moving to the other end of EVE far away from KIA where we will disband the alliance and end this ever burning fire of fail we have created and go live our lives as giants tap dancing badgers.

GF KIA.. GF!

Do not fear I have been drafted back into the equation due to Wargod stealing my lunchbox.

We will all miss Cora and Kai while he is gone to school to better himself 8). However we all know one day they will both be back! Until then, dont for one second think Tri is dead and gone 8).

We will still be there and willing to engage silly odds, because even if we lose and our efficiency sucks, if we dont engage outnumbered pvp will no longer exist in the delve area. Just like it doesnt exist in the north anymore.... having fun Morsus Mihi 8)

You know it just became obvious to me why many here feel that Tri are awesome PvPers. You guys generally come together when a side is inherently weak, either they are on the outside of a large scale conflict and unable to be assisted readily or have not yet tied up space after a big landgrab was done.

You slide in at this point, racking up a load of kills. Then, when defenses form and people take action you begin to suffer a few losses. Before you can fully get the **** beaten out of you, you fold. Whatever reasons there are for this are insignificant. The timing is what matters. Tri folds up, doesn't get beaten down like they would if they actually tried to stick around for a real campaign.

A few months later when another opportunity arises, you reform, bang the wardrums and go at another opponent from a position of advantage.

There's nothing wrong with this behavior really. It's a sound strategy. Just, it's got to sting a little bit knowing that you can't really go the distance.

To each their own I guess.

Now I take offense to that.
kb.eve-avarice.com

We're still killing MH/MM/TCF, and they really hate us. When they engage they go for PD right away, no matter what he's flying. Then someone else just calls the shots, and we come out with a good battle efficiency(70+ p much every time.) Then, after losing significantly more ISK in ships / pods, MH declares victory in local. Oh god. You guys really should come back to the North, we miss you.

Well done, KIA. They defined themselves by their front-page campaign killboard efficiency and I guess that you having 80.3% against Tri over a several-week campaign made them realise they weren't having fun, nor were they as good as they thought they were. A well-deserved KIA victory.

I agree with you that Kia did well against Tri, and drove them off. I also think it's probably true that Tri isn't as good as they once were or as they think they are.

But, most of Kia's efficiency against Tri, in terms of killboard points/isk, was because of the Titan kill. Somehow, this has gone down in CAOD legend as Kia, alone and afraid, mustered the courage to pull a Disney-movie-worthy triumph from the jaws of defeat. But, if we're being honest, one Kia member ninja'd onto the titan kill with an un-needed cruiser-class ship amidst the capitals that actually did all the work.

You're right; you and everyone who are proclaiming Kia's victory over Tri. You're just not as right as the talking points would suggest.

glitterbomb > you guys are going to look pretty dumb when we take delve

Also, KIA's efficiency was positive even before the Titan. You know...from the capital **** when TRI used pilots from the latter half of the alphabet and let ROL take the beating.
