For the love of <insert deity here> please admit this bug still exists! Players are sick of having to go through multiple steps to just repair damaged drones. We have to remove from ship, put in hanger, repair each one individually, repackage, and put them back in ship. A very messy procedure when we supposedly can just click repair or repair all.

Then we are told this bug no longer exists, yet if you watch help channel someone asks about it daily. We are not imagining the bug, drone repair does not work fine!

Posted - 2004.08.16 11:02:00 - QuoteDrone repair works fine. I just tested what was described here twice and both times, the drone came out fully repaired.

Heres what I did, if you can see any difference let me know:

1. Undocked with drone.
2. Launched drone.
3. Damaged drone to 50%.
4. Scooped drone.
5. Docked.
6. Picked current ship in repair service and then clicked on Repair All.
7. Undocked.
8. Launched drone.
9. Targeted drone and confirmed it was fully repaired.

You dont need to remove the drones from your drone bay to repair them.
They will show up on the repairsheet from your ship if you got them in the dronebayWink

and if you repaired a drone you can check the HP on the repairsheet right away...

um, i just select my ship in the repair shop, and it includes the drones. I repair the default value (ie, all the damaged items), then i select all in my drone bay and right click repackage. All done.

It's true.

I've got a Hobgoblin in my hangar that is 40% damaged. I can't see it on the repair screen so it just sit's there.

I have lost a couple of drones due to this bug, after combat I went to station clicked the repair bay, selected ship and then repaired all. Payed the cash thinking that my little buddies were healthy and ready to fight again. Head out get into combat deploy the drones and they are still damaged.

I would assume that part of the problem with getting this fixed (aside from the fact that Shiva has been given precedence over CURRENT in-game issues Evil or Very Mad) is that it must be a "random" type of bug. I've repaired drones several times here recently (without going through any funky additional steps) and never had any trouble, so it's probably one of those things that will take some time and effort to nail down.

Just be thankful that you are not required to repackage your ship after each repair.
