Edited by: Karentaki on 08/08/2009 19:36:06 Very nice kill. Congratulations on increasing the average IQ of T3 pilots (I hope).
As for all the trolls:
1 - this is a bragging thread, but it is better than almost anything else on the first page. 2 - This is EVE - stupid people don't do very well 3 - This takes considerably more skill than running missions, which is what most of you probably do.

Confirming that I am Ynon's main and I didn't intend posting with an alt. (Not that it makes any difference lol, but true nonetheless).
<- Returning player here. Second post since I left EVE in ... 2004/2005? Something like that.
p.s. guess you tripped over your dog and fell down the staircase this morning? Tough luck, man.
p.p.s. what the hell is wrong with a little deserved sympathy for OP's victim?
He doesn't deserve it for losing his ship like that. Asking for HELP in a Level 4 mission in a T3 ship is like walking into a Lion's Den smeared in Deer's blood. An idiot and his isk have been parted, granted, OP didn't get any material reward for it, but knowing that someone is going to be crying themselves to sleep for the next few days is worth way more than any Faction or Deadspace mods he had a chance (and took) to get. |

Shooting people that you are in a fleet with you still gets you concorded unless they are in your corp. |

I won't swear to it, but I don't think it matters if you are in fleet or not. If you attack someone not in your corporation I belive it is still a Concordable offense. Second: Even if being in fleet meant you could aggro fleet mates, I don't think it would be that hard to quickly drop fleet and press F1 |

While I disagree with the fundamental game mechanic of being Concorded for RRing somebody who is shooting at you, I must tip my hat out of respect to the OP and his ingenuity.
While CCP should fix this it's important to realize that you have to trust who you're working with or at least be in the same corp as them before I even consider RRing them in anything nice.
Well, I'm off to go exploit this like Britain exploited India, till CCP gets around to fixing this. |

This. Seriously though, a simple check see by the loki pilot, and noticing the sec status, should have thrown up major warning signs. The asking to fit a rr? That's just stupid of him. He deserved to lose his ship and skill. Maybe next time he'll be smart enough to take a trusted corp-mate with him, but he should've been able to do the mission anyways. Underskilled t3 pilot is soon a less skilled t2 pilot, if not t1. Also, exploit it till ccp fixes it, or more likely, decides it's a game exploit and makes it a bannable offense. |

Voting the CCP fixes it.. Its the same mechanic that gives you a GCC if you RR a -10, even if the -10 doesn't have a GCC... |

So a T3 ship needs a back up for a lvl4 mission in a form of a T1 Punisher class frigate correct?
This reminds me of that day i was in my uber nano Abbadon and had a carrier tackled.I would have killed the thing with speed tanking but i accidently woke up... |

This is an argument for T3 ships getting a boost but also costing in excess of a bil if ever I saw one... Seriously, T3 ships are a bit of a joke.. What they NEEDED to be (and what a lot of people expected them to be) was ultra expensive, ultra high skill and able to go toe to toe with a BS/BC. More options is NOT always good. |

Edited by: Durzel on 10/08/2009 08:04:01 I'm not sure expense is a valid balancing mechanic tbh. The game is quite nicely balanced in that regard already, you can splash out on a cap or a supercap if you have the ISK but without support they're dead and with the exception of the Moros they're pretty crap as solopwnmobiles. Gone are the days of Nyxs gatecamping with smartbombs.
I'm not totally comfortable with T3 as it exists right now, certain builds & variations seem pretty OP and the only reason (I think) that there isn't more outcry is because they're still relatively expensive and therefore not widely used in PvP, and they're still very popular KB targets.
When they finally stabalise down to CCP's intended "T2 hull + 1/8th hull price per subsystem" then I think they'll get a balance pass. I mean some Tengu & Proteus fits are just ridiculous.

Reading this reminds me of something:
I, a lone Cormorant, was ratting in high-sec to fight boredom. When I encounter a Orca and a Hulk mining. They were under attack by some rats. I want to be the hero of the day. As I was fighting I was targeted by the Orca and he started repping me with his drones.
And here is my question: Should I have fired at him? Would this end for the two of us in being concorded, too? |

Don't orca's come free with your cereal now? (ie, haven't they dropped in price to the point where this isn't really a big deal) |

Fat usage of GTCs does that. Quote:

There's a time when you get to choose between red and blue pill. There's also a time when you are handed a switch to kill an hopeless one with no repercussion. It's in your hands, to be "very human" and kill him for fun or to spare him and maybe earn a friend. |

I no im so angry....I was in warp and my pod went backwards when my ship popped.....
Yes, its bloody annoying when that happens. I remember doing a level 4 Worlds Collide in a Cruise Raven when i was a wee empire noob and got in a spot of trouble due to being warp scrammed by a few NPC rats. The race was on to get them all killed before my tank gave in. I managed to kill the last one just as i was entering structure, hit warp while on fire and popped just after warp drive engaged. wierd thing is my pod ended up back in the mission arena and my Raven wreck was at a spot in between the mission arena and the celestial i was trying to warp to. Edit, I've just remembered it was before CCP added wrecks to the game so instead of a wreck being there it was just a can with my lootz in it. |

He didn't know what happened after he got popped. He just assumed that the rats instapopped him or something and was going to petition it. I then explained that I did it and got a "o..." |

Yes, you'd both end up being flagged I believe. Repping or cap transferring an npc rat will criminally flag you too, which should get both of you concorded if he was repping you at the time if I'm not mistaken... |

No, this is something else. You remote rep somebody, and that guy does an action that leads to a GCC, you (as a remote repper) get flagged for the same crime. You don't have to necessarily attack the Repping party themself, any other action leading to a GCC is fine as well. |

First of all its not a glitch I was an evil pirate doing bad things and he tried to assist me. Secondly it is fun as hell. Lastly good for you vexors are very skill oriented ships so killing a week old player with the same fit ship as you but you have more sp in drone skills then he has sp isn't really that bid of a deal. Plus no one gave me an award...yet. |
