Ok so I want to know how much can you make an hour with a Hulk and an Orca in high sec? Before I spend all my isk on this I need to know how much I make :) Assume I mine Veldspar only (The prices are reasonable a day)
My calculations say I can make 10mil a day, but I see topics where 10mil/hour are being done. So is 30mil a day (assume I can mine for 5 hours a day) a reasonable thing?
I hope someone can tell me how much it will pay out :D

From a pure ISK/hour standpoint, you would be better off using those two characters to run level 4 missions. Not only will that generate a fair bit more cash, it will also generate a fair share of high-end minerals (as well as the low-end). |

As my school doesn't allow to keep full attention at EVE so missions would become a problem. Mining can be done semi-afk it would suit me much more |

You'd be better off in 2 hulks instead of one hulk+orca.
EDiT: An all lvl5 char with 5 t2 mining drones and T2 crystals mining non-stop with perfect cycles and no hauling will make about 12M/h. |

Yes, I used that 'button' but people expect to mine Kernite instead of Veldspar, and I prefer to hear it from other people instead of finding an old post telling it does like that. |

Please tell me your not thinking of using an Orca and Hulk with one toon, leaving the orca unoccupied while you mine in the hulk? Because doing that can result in a very happy pirate, and we wouldn't want that.
Assuming that you are using two accounts, you'll get more isk with 2 hulks. IIRC you need at least 4 hulks to make swapping one out for an orca worth it.

I used to push 40mil a day, but that was mining plag.
Veld is reasonable enough to do 10mil an hour in with an Orca, but the problem is finding fat enough veld roids for semi-afk mining.
30mil over 5 hours is a reasonable goal to hit. You'll most likely do more, but it is safe to base your numbers off that.
If you can, best to find a quiet area of Amarr space, mine Kernite and haul it unrefined to sell at a hub. Kernite roids have longer burn times (so you need to retarget less frequently) and plain Kernite will pull in more than Veld.

I'll be doing some work with my brother. 3 hulks, an orca and an iteron mark V. We got ourselfs a very nice high sec with like 10 people in it. Enough belts to make tons :)

Here's an idea that might be extension of yours that I've been thinking about.
Set up in a high sec system without any stations usually loads of belts but hard to move the ore.
Setup a medium tower (requires lots faction work) but you can offer to refine ore at 100% for a fee per m3.
Since you have the orca already this would make it easy to move the ore to the tower for refining.
Then you provide a moving service for the minerals to the nearest system with a station on contract. Here you would need a freigher to move bulk amounts of ore.
Not sure if you have the capital to set this up or if your in a corp already but what do you think? |

You can't refine at 100% at a POS refinery, the best possible yield you can get is 75% using an Intensive Refining Array. |

I can make 22M an hour in a maxed out hulk with a maxed out orca. and I found an area that's hardly touched. |

I'm with the poster who suggested missions - they are by far the quickest way to make good isk, especially if you salvage and loot all your wrecks. WRT what ore to mine - it varies but has been veldspar for a long time for profit per hour but this can change and you should work out the maths for yourself as to why  UNLESS you work this out for yourself and update your maths daily with local mineral buy prices you will always be on here asking this question. |
