there seems to be an issue with the fitting screen capstability calculation. i think the bug is only with amarr lasers, i've had many cases where my ships showed up capstable in the fitting screen, while they proved not to be in missions! (i wasn't nossed or using different ammunition)

the calculation seems to be only slightly off (has it something to do with the module cycles and weapon groups maybe?).

almost lost my ship today because of it, so i thought i'd write a post!

correct my stupidity if i'm wrong, or if this issue is already known.

just noticed that the bug never seemed to occur again since the post, so maybe i was nossed afterall without noticing, or it ocurs only under extremely rare circumstances on barely capstable ships (excess cap recharge rate for me was 0,74, maybe if all modules drain cap at the exact same moment the stability is broken)

The fitting screen (and EFT) assumes that the cap drain does not occur in one hit, but as a per-second average. As the recharge rate changes depending on the percentage (peak regen is somewhere near 33% I believe), you can indeed knock yourself into instability.
