I run a lot of courier missions, and I don't decline any missions on principle, so yes, I've done quite a few Cool

Edit: oh, and I don't think they are painful at all ... longest I ever had was 10 jump round trip. Docking at 5 stations does take some time, but you get much higher rewards and standings, too.

Only declined it when it was like 50 large containers i had to transport, or the 10 shuttles :)

These missions are not that tedious if you set up an indy with OD and/or nanofiber, along with some combination of ab and mwd (depending on cpu and pg). Or if you have a network of instas.

Plus sometimes you're told to take 10 of something to station X, and then 10 of the same thing from station X back to where you are. When this happens theres already 10 of that thing in both hangers, so you can complete the mission without having to lift a finger ;)

I'm also in the habit of never refusing missions, but I did some of these were it was impossible to even get the bonus reward in time. Maybe if you have instajump like someone mentioned but I havent started playing EVE long enough to have a lot of these and a lvl 2 agent should offer missions taking in consideration lower level of skills from the players. So far I only got the containers though, the large ones take a lot of room.

Sometimes you get lucky and have a short route or low volume haul but sometimes you just have to take your indy and get to destinations at a slow pace. There is also a bug I might add where if you deliver 2 batch of containers of the same size, the mission check in the end seems to split them in 3 and tell you that you didn't deliver there. If you want to prevent that I think you need to merge your 2 batch in one and let the agent sort it out at the end.

Anyway, all that to say I really hate these ;) . It just seems like I could do 2-4 missions in the same time.

I just obtained a standing of over 9.5 with my agent and I'm a bit disapointed with the progression of the missions according to quality/standing. I will start to refuse missions more regularly with my next agent to see if it makes much of a difference.

As I said, I've done quite a few of them (about 20-30), and so far I always got the time bonus, usually with much time to spare. Find an agent in a decent location, get yourself an industrial with some speed mods and you should be fine.

And even if not, where's written that you have to get the time bonus every time? It's a bonus for extra fast delivery, if you're too slow you still can finish the mission, get the regular reward and the standing increase.

I actually like this type of mission - it's the same as with kill missions: Some of the new ones are more challenging and need decent equipment and some good tactics to finish successfully. Cool

You seem to be under the impression that my failure to get the bonus is my fault, I assure you that I have the best speed mod I can afford for the time I have been in EVE. I suspect that this particular mission difficulty depends more on luck and the agent/location you are at. It would be silly to change agent for a reason like this.

My biggest grip I guess is that I would expect this mission to be more appropriate for lvl 3 than lvl 2, it's very possible for new players to meet this mission without the Indy or skill for it. As a new player I was never refusing missions because I tought it would hurt me, now I know better and I do indeed refuse them depending on the situation even if I hate to do so.

I've done a fair number of missions (9+ standing to two corps, plus standing in several others), and these are easily the missions I hate the most, and by a huge margin. The only way these things would be worth their time is if they were always important missions. Sadly, turning them down is not worth the negative impact of refusing a mission. Prior to these missions I never tried turning down missions.
