Well, after 4 months of filming, converting and editing, its finally finished!

this whole concept was new to me, because this video has color filters, noise, lighting effects, and cool boom things that i had never used in my life ( This means it has pretty colors, for those interested )

i edited it in adobe premiere pro CS3, its just a fantastic editor, and well above poor old vegas 8... although highly unstable at some times, it would just crash from time to time, and i had to start over again *sigh* and better yet, that windows 7 beta i had been using on my computer expires the 1st of july, so i had to hurry the hell up and finish so i could do a clean install of the new win 7 RC.

but enough whining, most of the video was filmed on the test server, because it was easier to catch nice battle shots there, not to mention i could film even the rarest of ships *cough* t3 cruisers *cough*

originally filmed at 1600 by 1020, shrank to 1280 by 800 so its not so hard on your computer. here is the link to download: ( many thanks to eve-files.com! ) Eve online Battlestage Trailer 2

( yes it is the second one ive made, the other was claimed by some rights organization.. )

the video is also on youtube now, please, rate and comment!

special thanks to:
Asha ClanClan and Daniel Jackson for an awesome day at the TS :D
Kha Belenth, the one always asking me about Battlestage 2, well here you go m8
the titan pilots, sorry.. cant remember your names, for standing sill :)
Britfed and the Spleepless Knights Alliance, because even though most of us suck at pvp, we still have an awesome time.

i hope all of you like this little video :D

Cheers

Very nice. Really, very nice. Awesome camera work and video editing to match. The only thing that killed it, though, was the lack of anti-aliasing :( I really hope your next video does that because ... well ... it'd rock even more :)

Camera work looks great.

I assume you shot the drones then layered them over the maid shot? I have a pain of a time filming drones.

Cool stuff. Great flybys.

I liked it, loved the music.

The only thing I would say is that the faded footage all the way through did wear a little, but it was well edited indeed :)

What track did you use?

I'm with Izo, great shots and camera work in there but have a look at mixing up transitions a bit. If you like your effects you should get stuck in to AE! Very Happy

Can you record at a 16:9 res? 1600x1020 sounds kinda weird! If you're downscaling or using the overlap for camera shake it would be cool to have the final vid in 720p.

Anyway good job, I'm always a sucker for eve pron. Smile

Hey, first of all thanks for the feedback!

And about the transitions, well this video was rush delivered... meaning i ran out of time so i just wanted to finish it, because the windows 7 beta expired the 1st of july, and i had 60 gigs worth of footage in my HDD, not to mention multiple backup files and adobe premiere files. backing that up would have been a nightmare, so i decided i only wanted to keep the final 160 mb vid, so i rushed into finishing the last color touches and the light effects :(

so lesson learned, but the harm is done, i just hope i find the time to make the 3rd part someday..

and yeah, my eve res is 1600x1020 surprisingly enough, my poor little laptop managed extremely well filming at that resolution, and doing the project at the lower res gave me more freedom to apply movement, zoom, and shake, all without loosing too much quality ( many of the shots had damage notifications on it, because beleive it or not, i was fighting :D so the extra resolution made it possible to remove those notifications )

anyway, thanks for your comments, i really appreciate you guys giving me feedback for future improvement, it really helps out when planing out the new one :D

cheers

Really good work there.
BUT, It's slightly too long to be a trailer, i'd keep it under 2 mins, and I think you should have found some better music :P
