What about it, you guys had one of the best and most innovative set-ups for that entire tournament. We were not the only people to lose to you we just did it with as much flare as we could :) I dont see how losing to that would make me any less of an expert than the next guy. Edit: If losing a fight once in eve disqualified them from being an expert people like Kil2 who is a phenomenal player would never even get a shot. He has more losses thanks to his 10 stone nut sack than I will ever achieve in this game. What makes us experts starts with the fact that we applied, we communicated well, and demonstrated an understanding of the game that can translate into raido/TV. I am not the best pvper in Veto, i dont have the most kills, or the most solo experience. What i do have is a passion for pvp in small and medium fleets. I love a good fight even the ones where i dont make it. I find pleasure in a ransom that is paid and honoured. If you dont think im qualified then take a number, get in line and apply to be an expert next year. |

My apologies Ryas. It was certainly not meant to be a personal slant. If I didnt think you had some serious tenacity, spunk and cahones in that tournament I'd have never given your team a Vigilant and 6 Ishkurs out of my own pocket. Im quite looking forward to seeing you on the broadcast. I have applied to be an expert in the past, and would have certainly loved to do it, I just dont think its in the cards. I am much too good looking and athletic. Sometimes you have to cut your losses.... I wouldnt want the drone ai reprogramed on me again midweek. See you from the sidelines and have fun in Iceland. And he comes out swinging! Personally for me you've certainly shown a good attitude so far and despite losing the tournament, important thing was that you were IN the tournament. You understand what It's like from the pilots perspective. That is a needed perspective. Anyone who applies has some serious guts, and theres noway I could apply, would scare the hell out me. I know I'm a tournament expert. I've taken part in every tournament except the 1st and 6th and reached the quarter finals in the 4th.I'm not exactly Tyrrax, Kayosoni or Tusko, but I know my stuff. But there ain't no way I could do what you are about to do, so kudos for that. Thanks Andor sent me a very nice eve-mail explaining his state of mind. I also expected to get a lot of stuff like this. As a player and forum presence I have always been the dutiful #2. In Fimbulwinter I took a back seat to Camar, and have continued to do so with Verone. I respect and understand that good leaders should be the unified voice of an organisation. This also left me free to do what i do best.... everything else :P This event will be very interesting for me because as a character Ryas has never been in the spotlight. I am also very humbled by being chosen I like to think I have a good understanding of the game and somehow it seems I communicated it to the Eve-TV team. The liked me (it could have been the bribes of Tennessee Whiskey) so here I am about to sink or swim in front of 10,000 of my fellow players some of whom are more knowledgeable and skilled than me. |

I wouldn't dream of applying even if I thought I had my **** together. I don't, Andor has my bag of ****.  Having your every call taped and subsequently flamed by all is something I can do without. The potential fallout from a bad showing as an expert far outweigh any gains I can see from this end. In my book anyone who dares step up and have more than 2 catch phrases in their arsenal, also preferably not scottish, unless you can do subtitles live, should get one of those complementary hookers we saw on the last fanfest footage.  |

I hope none of the hosts feel I have disrespcted them. In my experience everyone in EVE is an expert until they get to the tourney. Id put my face and knowledge in front of the camera for everyone to laugh at anytime. Just say the word. Theres is no doubt that I am an expert on small fleet engagments. I think I've proven this time and time again. I've applied before and I will apply again; just so happened I was vacationing in California during the process so i missed my window.
One things for sure Ryas will be a fixture after this tourney. The guy is just too cool for words.
As far as the goon well you are not exactly Vegeta, and you did lose with style.

Confirming I pay CCP every month for a lottery ticket to be an "expert". People entered into this lottery are able to play on TQ as a bonus... |
